Taner Bilgiç is a professor with the Department of Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University.
His research interests are: Competitive Supply Chain Management, Multi-Sided Markets, Graphical Models in Causality and Decision Theory, Foundations of Fuzzy Set Theory
He received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1987 and M.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1990 from the Department of Industrial Engineering, of the Middle East Technical University.
He received a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Toronto in 1995.
He spent two years at the University of Toronto as a research associate.
In 1997, he joined the faculty of Department of Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University.
During the 2018-2019 academic year he was on a sabbatical leave as a visiting professor at Columbia University, ORIE Department (May-Aug, 2018) and McGill University, Desautels Faculty of Management (Aug. 2018-June 2019).
