OUR MISSION

The SUBS organization is affiliated with the Texas A&M Biology Department and is aimed specifically toward undergraduate students and works with faculty and staff within the department.

The Society for Undergraduate Biology Students (SUBS) is committed to building a community rooted in the values of diversity, inclusion, guidance, and peer support. SUBS seeks to build an organization to serve and support both academic and social interests of all undergraduates in biological sciences through professional and social networking, mentoring, community outreach, educational and social activities. Our long-term visions include:

Society for Undergraduate Biology Students strives to bolster the success, confidence, and sense of community within undergraduates of the Biology department at Texas A&M through meetings and informative sessions that allow students to network and hear from faculty/staff members involved with the department. This knowledge will hopefully allow students to better navigate through their college experience and have more confidence in their abilities during their journeys at Texas A&M.

This organization is dedicated to promoting an uplifting community for Undergraduates in the Biology department. We will achieve this by hosting meetings on a biweekly basis that provide students with an opportunity to network with students also in the biology department as well as faculty and staff that can provide insight to achieving success.
