Tamara's Play Studio
~Tamara Jouval
I am committed to protecting play. It is and always has been foundational in forming relationships and self discovery. Time spent in true free play, meaning freely chosen activities with no intervention from adults, allows for self reflection and focus, planning and execution and learning to make decisions. This is where they find out what they really like and what they are good at. It is also where they get to know others and what talents they have and learn from each other.
I will interact in intentional, constructive and creative and respectful ways that focus on children's capabilities, competencies, and interests. I strive to foster a learning environment that is based on relationships, reciprocal learning, and reflection to build a more stimulating and inclusive outdoor classroom.
The Reggio Emilia Approach, is grounded in the belief that children are active protagonists of their own growth and development process, and learning is a process of individual and group construction. It is my intention to promote this at my home and organize it in a way that provokes and supports learning.
