This Privacy Policy explains what information the Tallyo app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Tallyo, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Summary

• Tallyo is a collection of scorekeeping, timing, decision and party tools.

• The content you create - scores, counters, prompts, players and settings - stays on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and we do not upload or sync your game data to our servers.

• Like most free apps, Tallyo uses a small set of trusted third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, ads, and optional in-app purchases. These services may collect limited technical and usage data as described below.

• We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information we and our providers process

a) Data you create in the app (stored on your device). Scores, games, counters, timers, player names and photos, custom prompts, and your preferences are stored locally on your device using on-device storage (Room database and preference storage). We cannot see this data, and it is not transmitted to us. It is removed when you delete the data in the app or uninstall the app (subject to any device backup you have enabled).

b) Usage and diagnostic data (via Google Firebase). To understand how the app is used and to keep it stable, we use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring. These collect information such as app events and screens viewed, app version, device model, operating-system version, language/region, general performance metrics, and crash diagnostics (including a device identifier used by these services). This data is used in aggregate to improve the app and is not used to identify you personally.

c) Advertising data (via Google AdMob). Tallyo is free and shows ads. Google AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier and related technical data to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other applicable regions, we present a consent request (Google's User Messaging Platform) so you can choose how your data is used for ads. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings at any time.

d) Purchase data (via RevenueCat and Google Play / the App Store). If you buy the optional Pro upgrade or leave a tip, the transaction is handled by the app store (Google Play or Apple) and by RevenueCat, which manages entitlements. We receive a purchase/entitlement status (for example, "Pro active"); we do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Your entitlement status is also cached on your device so the app works correctly offline.

3. Permissions

• Internet - to load ads, analytics/crash reporting, and remote configuration.

• Vibrate - for haptic feedback during interactions.

• Camera and photo access - optional, only if you choose to add a player profile photo. Photos you select are stored in the app's private storage on your device and are not uploaded to us. You can decline these permissions and still use the app.

4. Text-to-speech

Some tools can read text aloud (for example, announcing a winner). This uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine; the spoken text is generated on your device and is not collected by us.

5. How we use information

• To provide and operate the app's features.

• To keep the app stable, diagnose crashes and improve performance.

• To understand usage in aggregate and improve the app.

• To display and measure ads, and to offer and validate optional purchases.

We do not use your on-device game data for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

6. Third-party services

The following providers may process data as described above. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies:

7. Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Data processed by the third-party services above is retained according to their policies. Analytics and diagnostic data is generally retained for a limited period and used in aggregate.

8. Children's privacy

Tallyo is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we do not maintain accounts and your game data stays on your device, the most direct controls are:

• Delete your in-app data or uninstall the app to remove on-device data.

• Adjust ad personalization and reset your advertising ID in your device settings.

• Use the in-app consent controls (where shown) to change ad-consent choices.

• Contact us to exercise rights regarding data held by our providers; we will assist and route requests to the relevant provider where applicable. We do not sell personal information.

10. Security

We rely on your device's protections and on the security practices of the third-party providers listed above. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information handled through the app.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, they implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers under their own policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide notice within the app or on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
