Talk Radio Project
What we do
Conservative talk radio is the primary source of “news” for many people across the country, especially those living outside major urban areas.
The Talk Radio Project (“TRP”) brings a progressive point of view to the conversation, and counters misinformation and sensational claims. In key states, callers indirectly support progressive candidates by advocating for specific policy positions. The TRP recruits and organizes working teams and provides initial and ongoing volunteer training.

"If you visit a carpentry shop or factory floor, or hitch a ride with a long-haul truck driver, odds are that talk radio is a fixture of the aural landscape. But many white-collar workers, journalists included, struggle to understand the reach of talk radio because they don’t listen to it, and don’t know anyone who does."
THE NATION
"It's past time to act. If Democrats want to effectively counter the relentless spread of hard-right ideology in America, talk radio has to be part of that strategy."
THE NEW REPUBLIC
"In Wisconsin, [...] there are 81 right-wing talk stations across the state. The number of progressive stations in Wisconsin? Three. Far-right media—from Steve Bannon’s War Room show down to its local imitators, with enthusiastic support from Trump—have made it their mission to take over the machinery of election administration."
