Providing dating preferences is voluntary. However, some matching features may not work correctly without relevant preferences.
Private dating preferences will not be displayed publicly unless you deliberately add them to your visible profile or choose to share them.

You can control these permissions through your device settings.
You must upload only content that belongs to you or that you are legally authorised to use. You must not upload another person’s photograph without permission or use photographs to impersonate another person.
When Talkbit provides messaging or interaction features, we may process:
Likes and passes.
Match information.
Messages sent and received.
Images, videos or files shared through messages.
Blocks and unmatches.
Reports and complaints.
Safety-related interactions.
Customer-support communications.
Talkbit does not routinely read private conversations. However, we may access, preserve or review relevant messages when:
A user reports a message or account.
It is necessary to investigate harassment, fraud, threats, scams or abuse.
It is necessary to provide technical support.
Automated safety systems identify potentially prohibited activity.
We are required to do so by applicable law, court order or lawful government request.

A match recommendation does not mean that Talkbit has verified every statement made by another user. Talkbit does not guarantee compatibility, identity, intentions, safety or future conduct.
Users are responsible for deciding whether to communicate with, meet or form a relationship with another person.
You may update your preferences, pause discovery, block users, unmatch users or delete your account using the available controls.
Other Talkbit users may see information you choose to place on your visible profile, including:
Display name.
Age.
Profile photographs.
Profile videos.
Biography.
General location.
Approximate distance.
Interests.
Relationship goals.
Other profile details selected by you.
Talkbit will not intentionally display your:
Password.
OTP.
Private email address.
Private mobile number.
Precise device location.
Private matching filters.
Government identification number.
Payment credentials.
You may voluntarily share contact information with another user, but doing so is at your own risk.
Another user may take screenshots, save, copy, record or distribute information that you share with them. Talkbit cannot fully control how another user handles information after receiving it.
Talkbit may share limited personal information in the following circumstances.
Information included in your visible profile may be shown to other users for dating and matching purposes.
Messages and content sent to another user will be available to that recipient.
We may engage service providers to support Talkbit, including providers of:
Cloud hosting.
Database storage.
User authentication.
Mobile notifications.

Analytics.

Information may be retained for a longer period when required by a court or lawfully authorised government agency.
Information associated with serious safety reports, fraud, threats, impersonation or repeated policy violations may be retained for a reasonable period to prevent the user from creating another harmful account.
Anonymised or aggregated information that no longer identifies a user may be retained for analytics and service improvement.

Your profile will be removed from normal dating discovery.
Matching and dating-related processing will stop.
Information that is no longer necessary will be deleted or anonymised.
Some information may remain temporarily in secure backups.

Information connected with unresolved complaints, fraud, safety incidents or legal claims may be retained where reasonably necessary.
Deleting or uninstalling the Talkbit application from your device does not automatically delete your Talkbit account.
You must use the account-deletion option or contact Talkbit to request deletion.

Understand the purposes for which your information is processed.
Correct inaccurate or misleading information.
Complete incomplete information.
Update outdated information.
Delete information that is no longer required.

Talkbit will request a permission only when it is connected with an app feature.
You can approve or deny permissions through your device settings. Denying a permission may prevent the related feature from working, but it should not prevent the use of unrelated Talkbit features.
Talkbit uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information.

Encryption of selected stored information where appropriate.
Authentication and account-access controls.

No app, website, transmission or storage system is completely secure. Talkbit cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for:
Keeping your password and OTP private.
Protecting access to your device.

Avoiding suspicious links or payment requests from other users.
Where required by law, Talkbit will notify affected users and relevant authorities of a personal-data breach.
Online dating involves risks. Talkbit cannot guarantee the identity, intentions or behaviour of every user.

Do not send money to another user.
Do not share passwords or OTPs.
Do not share banking or card details.
Avoid sharing your home or workplace address.
Meet for the first time in a public place.
Inform a trusted person about your meeting.
Arrange your own transportation.
Block and report suspicious or abusive users.
Contact local emergency services when you are in immediate danger.
Talkbit may suspend or terminate accounts involved in:
Impersonation.
Fraud or scams.
Harassment.
Stalking.
Threats or violence.
Non-consensual sexual content.
Child sexual-abuse material.
Hate speech.
Illegal activity.
Repeated unwanted contact.
Misleading identity or age information.
Other conduct prohibited by our Terms or Community Guidelines.
You may report another user through the available profile, match, message or support controls.
A report should include, where available:
The reported user’s profile.
Relevant messages or content.
Screenshots.
Date and approximate time.
A description of what happened.
Any immediate safety concern.
Talkbit may review the reported account, relevant messages and associated account activity to investigate the report.
We may take actions including:
Issuing a warning.
Removing content.
Restricting account features.
Suspending an account.
Terminating an account.
Preserving evidence.
Reporting a matter to relevant authorities where required or appropriate.
We may not disclose every detail of an investigation or action when doing so could affect another person’s privacy, safety or a legal investigation.
A person may submit an urgent complaint when content hosted through Talkbit:
Exposes that person’s private areas.
Shows that person in full or partial nudity.
Shows or depicts that person in a sexual act.
Impersonates that person.
Contains a digitally altered, morphed or artificially generated intimate image of that person.

A person dissatisfied with the decision of the Grievance Officer may use any appeal or grievance mechanism made available under applicable Indian law.
Talkbit does not knowingly provide dating services to children under 18.
We do not knowingly collect information from a child for the purpose of providing dating or matching services.
When we discover that a user is under 18, we may:
Immediately suspend the account.
Prevent the account from appearing in discovery.
Request age verification.
Delete the profile and associated information.
Preserve limited information where required for safety, investigation or legal compliance.
Report serious child-safety concerns to relevant authorities.
Anyone who believes that a child is using Talkbit should report the account immediately through the app or contact the Grievance Officer.
Talkbit is intended for users located in India.
Some technology or service providers used by Talkbit may process information using servers or personnel located outside India.
