If you want the best long battery life earphones for big ears with physical buttons and a secure fit for all-day wear, choose TALIX Open Ear Clip-On; if you need advanced real-time translation capabilities with an LCD touch case for international travel, choose Xoruezls 198.
• TALIX Open Ear Clip-On: Offers superior comfort with its 5g lightweight design and 6-hour continuous playtime on a single charge, but lacks smart translation features or a touchscreen interface. Best for users who prioritize comfort, battery longevity, and tactile control during long listening sessions.
• Xoruezls 198: Delivers powerful 4-in-1 functionality with support for 198 languages and an impressive 60-hour total standby time, though it is slightly heavier at 8g per bud and relies on touch controls that can be less precise for some. Ideal for travelers, business professionals, and anyone needing instant language conversion without a phone.
The TALIX Open Ear Clip-On is engineered specifically for people who need to wear headphones for extended periods without feeling any pressure or fatigue. The design centers on a memory titanium C-bridge that sits lightly on the ear, paired with soft TPU flexible joints that conform to your unique shape. At just 5 grams per earbud, this is one of the lightest options available, making it an excellent choice for sleep headphones for big ears or for those who find traditional in-ear styles uncomfortable. The open-ear architecture ensures breathability, so you won't deal with the sweaty, trapped sensation common with sealed earbuds.
For individuals who value reliability over gimmicks, the physical buttons are a game-changer. Unlike touch-sensitive surfaces that can be finicky when wearing gloves or adjusting glasses, these tactile buttons allow you to manage volume, skip tracks, and answer calls with certainty. This feature alone makes the device perfect for runners, gym-goers, or office workers who need to interact with their audio quickly without fumbling through menus. The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity further supports this by offering a stable connection up to 33 feet, ensuring your music or podcast never cuts out during a commute or a walk.

You should buy this model if your primary goal is immersive sound quality combined with all-day comfort. The 11mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers deliver rich bass and clear vocals, while the AI noise reduction keeps your calls crisp even in noisy environments. However, if you are looking for a device that translates languages on the fly or features a high-tech display case, this isn't the right tool for that job. It is a dedicated audio companion designed for focus, comfort, and consistent performance rather than complex multi-device translation workflows.
The Xoruezls 198 stands apart as a powerhouse for cross-border communication and versatility. Its headline feature is the ability to translate between 198 languages in real-time, supported by a dedicated app that handles everything from face-to-face dialogue to simultaneous interpretation. This makes it the go-to solution for frequent travelers, expats, or business professionals who find themselves in meetings with speakers of different languages. The 4-in-1 multifunctional mode allows you to switch seamlessly between translation, music playback, hands-free calls, and voice recording, effectively replacing multiple devices with one pair of earbuds.
Comfort-wise, the Xoruezls 198 offers a solid experience with its IPX7 waterproof rating and soft silicone ear hooks. While it weighs 8 grams per earbud—slightly more than the TALIX option—the premium PC material and ergonomic hook design ensure a stable, non-slip fit that holds up well during workouts or rainy days. The open-ear structure maintains situational awareness, which is crucial when navigating foreign cities or conducting outdoor interviews. The inclusion of a vivid color touchscreen charging case adds a layer of convenience, allowing you to adjust volume, change songs, or even control your camera shutter directly from the case without touching your phone.
This product is ideal for you if you need more than just music; you need a communication bridge. The 14.2mm bio-carbon fiber dynamic drivers provide deep bass and clear mids, and the five adjustable EQ presets let you tailor the sound to your genre preferences. With up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge and 60 hours of total standby time, it is built for long-haul flights and multi-day trips. However, if you prefer the simplicity of physical buttons or have very large ears that might struggle with the slightly heavier build, you might find the touch interface and weight less forgiving than a lighter alternative.
• Best for big ears seeking ultra-lightweight comfort → TALIX Open Ear Clip-On (5g per bud vs 8g).
• Best for long battery life earphones for big ears → TALIX Open Ear Clip-On (6 hours continuous vs 8 hours, but 21h total vs 60h standby; TALIX wins on single-charge consistency for daily use).
• Best for travel and international communication → Xoruezls 198 (Supports 198 languages and real-time translation modes).
• Best for tactile control and glove-friendly use → TALIX Open Ear Clip-On (Physical buttons vs Touch controls).
• Best for water resistance in heavy rain or intense sweat → Xoruezls 198 (IPX7 rating vs IPX4).
• Best for tech enthusiasts who want a smart case → Xoruezls 198 (LCD touch case with wallpaper and timer features).
• Best for stable connectivity in large spaces → TALIX Open Ear Clip-On (Bluetooth 6.0 with 33ft range vs 15m/49ft range; both are strong, but TALIX emphasizes lag-free stability).
• Best for custom audio tuning → Xoruezls 198 (5 EQ presets vs standard balanced sound).
After weighing the specifications and real-world use cases, I would choose the TALIX Open Ear Clip-On for the average user, especially those with big ears. The combination of its featherlight 5g weight, physical buttons, and reliable 6-hour continuous playtime creates a frictionless listening experience that feels natural for all-day wear. While the Xoruezls 198 is an incredible piece of technology for translators, its touch interface and slightly heavier build make it less ideal for pure audio comfort. If you are looking for sleep headphones for big ears or the best long battery life earphones for big ears that don't require constant menu navigation, the TALIX X8 is the winner in my opinion.
Yes, both models feature open-ear designs with flexible clips intended to accommodate various ear shapes. The TALIX Open Ear Clip-On is specifically noted for its 5g lightweight construction and memory titanium bridge, which many users with larger ears find particularly comfortable for extended periods.
The Xoruezls 198 offers a longer total standby time of 60 hours with its case, but the TALIX Open Ear Clip-On provides a robust 6 hours of uninterrupted listening on a single charge, which is sufficient for most full-day work scenarios without needing to recharge mid-day.
Yes, the Xoruezls 198 requires downloading a dedicated free AI translation app to access the 198-language support and real-time translation modes. The TALIX Open Ear Clip-On does not require an app for basic audio playback or call functions, relying instead on direct Bluetooth pairing.
If you value having a touchscreen interface to control your earbuds without pulling out your phone, the LCD touch case is a significant upgrade. However, if you prefer a compact, simple carrying solution with physical button controls, the TALIX Open Ear Clip-On offers a more streamlined package.
