Usage & Progress Data: Chapters you have read, your reading progress, and the words you save in your "Vault."
Device & Guest Data: Device identifiers (Device ID) strictly to create quick guest accounts for the "Fast Guest Login" feature.

2. How We Use Your Information: We use the collected data for the following purposes:

To create and manage your account and synchronize your reading progress across devices.
To power the "Smart Tutor" AI feature by processing the specific text you request to translate or explain.
To serve personalized advertisements (for users on the free version).
To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.

3. Third-Party Services: We do not sell your personal data. However, we use trusted third-party services to operate our app, which include:

Google Firebase: To securely store your user data, authentication details, and reading progress.
Google AdMob: To serve advertisements. AdMob may collect device information to show relevant ads.
Google Gemini AI: To process translation and explanation requests for the "Smart Tutor." (Note: We only send the selected paragraph text to the AI model; no personal identifying data is shared with the AI).
Apple (StoreKit): To securely process in-app purchases and Premium subscriptions.

4. Data Deletion: You have the right to delete your account and all associated data permanently at any time. You can do this directly within the app by navigating to Settings > Delete Account.

2. Terms of Use (EULA)

Welcome to Talingoo! By downloading or using our app, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. User Accounts: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information. You agree not to use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purposes, nor attempt to hack or disrupt our systems.

2. AI Disclaimer ("Smart Tutor"): The translation and explanation features provided by the "Smart Tutor" rely on advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. While we strive to provide the most accurate and helpful information, AI can sometimes make errors or generate inaccurate translations. We do not assume liability for any mistakes or inaccuracies in the AI-generated content.

3. Premium Subscriptions (Talingoo Premium):

Talingoo offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks a 100% ad-free experience, offline reading for downloaded books, and unlimited access to the Smart Tutor AI.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time by going to your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.

4. Intellectual Property: The original app design, source code, logos, and UI elements of Talingoo are our exclusive intellectual property. The classic novels provided within the app are public domain works.

5. Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Your continued use of the app following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
