My research interests lie in the general area of machine learning, particularly in deep learning and reinforcement learning as well as their applications in computer vision, game theory and autonomous driving.

I am currently a PhD student at MLP, University of Udine in Italy working on Video Super-Resolution under the supervision of Dr. Niki Martinel.

Previously, I was working as a Research Assistant at CVGL, LUMS on Transformers for Camera Calibration under the supervision of Dr. Murtaza Taj. 

I was a PhD  student  in Signals and Systems Engineering at Halmstad University and Volvo Trucks in Sweden under the supervision of Dr. Fernando Alonso-Fernandez and Dr. Prayag Tiwari. While in Sweden, I worked on Overtake Detection using CAN bus data.

I completed my Master’s Degree in Data Science at FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Lahore. I was supervised by Dr. Asif Mahmood Gillani and Dr. Murtaza Taj.

I worked as an MS Thesis student at CVGL, LUMS on Camera Calibration under the supervision of Dr. Murtaza Taj. I also worked on Cross View Image Retrieval and Cyclist Detection. I worked as a Research Assistant on Animal Detection for Camera Trapping.

Previously, I worked as Python AI Engineer on Text Detection and Recognition from images along with Lane Detection and Object Tracking at Geeklone Technology. I was Machine Learning Engineer at KK Networks working on Object Detection and Recognition from live camera streams along with image based search from DB and Videos. I was Business Manager at CIPL, ITU where I worked on Knowledge Graph Completion, Distraction Detection and Default Rate Prediction. I worked as a Data Scientist at Curiato Inc. on posture and humidity detection. I was Machine Learning Engineer at Edraak Systems working on Object Detection and Tagging from videos starting off by compiling OpenCV, followed by Optimization using UMat objects, Deployment using Postgre SQL, Flask and RabbitMQ for handling multiple requests. I was a Research Intern at AIRL, UET where I worked on Language Translation.

I worked as an Intern at VISpro Lab, ITU on an Indoor Self driving Car under the supervision of Dr. Rehan Hafiz and Dr. Mohsen Ali. I have also worked both as ML intern and Summer Intern at ReVeaL Lab, FAST-NUCES on several projects including AlphaGo Zero on Tic Tac Toe, Autonomous Driving in Car Simulations, Identification of Nerve Structure from Ultrasound Images under the supervision of Dr. Sibt ul Hussain.  I was Research Assistant to Dr. Majid Khan on practical implementation of data security and information hiding algorithms. 

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Islamabad where I was supervised by Dr. Sibt ul Hussain.
