LATEST BOOK RELEASE! The TINY TALES Treasury is now available
Studies show that reading with children is important. In addition to providing quality bonding time, reading together builds foundational skills to help children become lifelong readers.
TaleFeathers seeks to provide wholesome and entertaining selections for you to read with your child. By presenting scenarios that children may experience through the new and imaginative lens of bird characters, these stories also provide an lens by which children can step back and view common situations from a new perspective.
Creation is vast and amazing, so let's explore it! TaleFeathers stories strive to stimulate educational discovery. A discovery page at the end of each book gives more detail on some of the scientific concepts related to the story. It could be used to deepen the learning in a classroom setting or as a resource to help you answer questions your child may have about the birds or other natural wonders in the story.
For more educational resources, be sure to check out our worksheets that go with each story!
Deuteronomy 6:4-7 remind us that discipleship of our children means daily helping them know God. To paraphrase verse 7: Talk about God and His Word as you go about your day-to-day life.
How do bird stories fit into discipleship? If you read with your children, story time is already part of your daily life. When you choose a TaleFeathers book as the story, a "life link" section at the end uses concepts from the story to connect to God's word and children's lives. This resource provides a bridge for conversations that foster spiritual development.
Phoebe is a purple martin and author. Although many purple martins live in eastern North America for only part of the year, migrating to South America in the colder months, Phoebe spends most of her time in the states of Pennsylvania and Ohio.Â
She is named after two other Phoebes: Eastern Phoebes, which are another bird in eastern North America, and a little-known woman from the Bible. This Phoebe was someone who served a church in a place called Cenchreae. She is mentioned in Romans 16:1.
