Taka Tracker ("the app") is developed and maintained by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
Summary
Taka Tracker is a personal expense/income tracker. Your financial data (transactions, categories, schedules) is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to us or any server we control. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect limited data as described below.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the following locally, in a private database on your device: transactions (amount, date, category, notes, optional item breakdown), categories you create, recurring payment schedules, and app preferences (theme, notification settings).
This data is never transmitted to us. We have no server and no access to it. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted. You can also export your transaction data as a CSV file at any time from Settings, for your own use — this export stays on your device and is only shared if you choose to share it yourself.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob. To do this, AdMob (and its partners) may collect and process data such as advertising ID, device and app information, approximate location (derived from IP address), and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us, and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Ads Privacy & Terms.
On first launch, the app shows a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) where you can review and manage your ad consent choices, including options for non-personalized ads where required by your region's regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Permissions
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): used to remind you about upcoming or overdue recurring payment schedules. You can disable this at any time in Settings or in Android's system notification settings.
Receive boot completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): used to re-register scheduled reminder checks after your device restarts, so reminders keep working without you needing to reopen the app.
Neither permission gives us access to any additional personal data.
Data sharing
We do not sell or share your personal financial data with any third party. The only data shared with a third party is the limited advertising data described above, which is shared directly with Google as part of displaying ads, governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Taka Tracker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Data deletion
Because all of your financial data lives only on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. There is no account or server-side copy for us to delete.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
