A lot of people are wondering if it is possible to connect a Bluetooth headset to the new Xbox One S or X. Here is what you need to do to make it work:
Go into your Xbox's settings menu
Click on "All Settings"
Click on the System icon, then click on Updates & Downloads
Choose to receive updates automatically (if this is not already done)
Now go back one menu level by pressing the back button on your controller
Click on "Update Console" and wait for the update to finish and take effect
Now go into your Xbox's system settings again and select Gaming -> Audio OutputSelect either "Receiver (Optical Out)" or "TV (HDMI)". This will depend on what kind of cable you have attached to your TV.
Now insert a 3.5mm audio cable
Find a USB port on your controller and connect it to this, as well as any other devices you want to use simultaneously such as an external hard drive or charging station for wireless controllers etc... You can connect it directly to an AUX port but that will disable the headphone jack on your controller. This is not recommended because you or anyone else might want to use it during multiplayer games.
Now every time you power up your console it will be using this audio output option and apply to all apps like Netflix, YouTube, Blu-Ray Player ,etc...
