About Me

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New South Wales Sydney and the Australian Centre of Excellence in Antarctic Science (ACEAS). I am also an early-career member of the ACEAS Advisory Board

My research interests lie in studying the processes which drive ocean heat and freshwater changes, ocean ventilation and large-scale circulation, both globally and in the Southern Ocean. I am interested in the dynamical response of the ocean to anthropogenic climate change. I use novel statistical and data science tools, alongside state-of-the-art climate models and observations, to quantify thermodynamic and circulation changes in the global ocean.

I use a variety of tools in my research, including high-resolution direct numerical simulations (DNS), novel water mass transformation frameworks, unsupervised machine learning and climate models to elucidate the role of climate change on the global ocean.

Further details on my research interests are provided here. Please contact me if you are interested in pursuing a research program under any of these broad themes.
