Taimoor Sohail
I am a Research Fellow at the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Science at the University of Melbourne and an Associate Investigator in the Center of Excellence in 21st Century Weather.
My research interests lie in combining machine learning and data science methods to study ocean warming, large-scale ocean circulation change and sea level rise. I am also an active developer of the NumericalEarth.jl and Oceananigans.jl ocean models. I use a variety of tools, including neural networks, high-resolution ocean simulations, climate models and ocean observations to study ocean change.
Further details on my research interests are provided here. Please contact me if you are interested in pursuing a research program under any of these broad themes.
