Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose, and abuse. The public is urged to safely drop off unused prescription drugs at public disposal locations. Saving unused or expired medications can lead to improper and illegal use if they fall into the wrong hands. A safer solution is to immediately dispose of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine as soon as it expires or when it is no longer needed.

Only flush medicine if unable to reach a permanent collection site and it is on the flush list. Products on the flush list include drugs that contain opioids, including drugs that contain the word fentanyl or hydrocodone, as well as certain other drugs. Remove the flush-listed medicine from all packaging and flush the medicine down the sink or toilet. Remove all personal information from the packaging before recycling it.

The song "DRUGS" by Tai Verdes explores the singer's personal relationship with substance use. At the surface level, the lyrics suggest that the narrator occasionally engages in drug use, specifically marijuana, to alter their state of mind. They express a reluctance to disclose this behavior to their parents, fearing judgment and being ostracized as the "blackest of the sheep." The narrator emphasizes that they only consume "not hard" drugs, implying a desire to maintain control and avoid the potential dangers associated with harder substances.

The chorus indicates that the narrator uses drugs as a means of escape or as a coping mechanism. They seek temporary relief from the challenges and stresses of life. By changing their mind and altering their perception, the drugs offer a momentary respite. The repetitive nature of the phrase "drugs, can't find us?" suggests a desire to hide or avoid detection, perhaps due to societal stigma or a need for privacy. The line "if you think I'm gone, I'm just doing drugs" further emphasizes their preference for solitude during these moments.

In the bridge, the repetition of "sometimes I do drugs" reinforces the idea that this behavior is not constant, but rather occasional. The drugs serve as a way to break free from the monotony and hardships of life. The line "don't mind me if I light up" indicates that the narrator is unapologetic about their drug use and urges others not to judge them.

Most of the education Paly students receive on drugs is in Living Skills, a required, semester-long course that sophomore Ashray Gupta said is beneficial to students. However, students can choose when to receive this education, and as a consequence, many delay it.

Abstract:Marine Cone snails of the genus Conus contain complex peptide toxins in their venom. Living in tropical habitats, they usually use the powerful venom for self-defense and prey capture. Here, we study Conus crotchii venom duct using a peptide mass-matching approach. The C. crotchii was collected on the Cape Verde archipelago in the Boa Vista Island. The venom was analyzed using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS). About 488 molecular masses between 700 Da and 3000 Da were searched bymatching with known peptide sequences from UniProtKB protein sequence database. Through this method we were able to identify 12 conopeptides. For validation we considered the error between the experimental molecular mass (monoisotopic) and the calculated mass of less than 0.5 Da. All conopeptides detected belong to the A-, O1-, O2-, O3-, T- and D-superfamilies, which can block Ca2+ channels, inhibit K+ channels and act on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). Only a few of the detected peptides have a 100% UniProtKB database similarity, suggesting that several of them could be newly discovered marine drugs. Keywords: Conus; cone snails; conopeptide; conotoxin; Cape Verde

Much of the smuggling through Venezuela is said to be controlled by the Cartel of the Suns, a group of regime security chiefs who allegedly help bankroll President Nicolas Maduro's socialist regime. In recent years, Washington has sanctioned numerous cartel members on suspicion of cocaine-trafficking, including the heads of the National Guard and Mr Maduro's former vice-president. But the flow of drugs along Highway 10 has continued: the Eser's massive shipment, according to Cape Verde prosecutors, was loaded on at a pre-ordained rendezvous point just off Venezuela's coast.

"Cape Verde is the World Trade Centre of cocaine, and buying drugs here is easier than buying water," says local rapper Ga Da Lomba, 35, as he sips coffee in a Praia cafe. It didn't used to be his preferred stimulant. After moving to America in his late teens, where he fell in with a bad crowd, he returned home and spent the next 15 years hooked on cocaine, robbing to feed his habit. He now raps an anti-drugs message in the local Creole language, but admits it's a hard sell. 9af72c28ce
