I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Davis Institute for AI at Colby College where I work with Prof. Amanda Stent. I am also a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Colby. My research sits broadly at the intersection of machine learning and human-computer interaction with a focus on human-centered, public-interest technology with artificial intelligence. I use Artificial Intelligence and other computational tools to understand conversation and interaction dynamics from multimodal data for autism intervention and social communication. I also collaborate closely with Colby College faculty members, students, and local stakeholders to find AI-driven approach to problems related to climate change and sustainability.

Previously, I received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at Rutgers University, where I worked with Prof. Jorge Ortiz as a member of Cyber Physical Intelligence Lab (CyPhILab) and WINLAB. During my PhD, my work focused on designing and developing machine learning-enabled tools to model human activities and events in the physical world on individual and city-scale using multi-modal sensing. 

My goal is to design, develop and evaluate intelligent tools to facilitate fair, reliable, and transparent interaction between human and machine prediction. 

Staring from Fall 2024, I will be joining Colby Computer Science as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of CS and Artificial Intelligence.
