You can find my CV here.
I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and AI at Colby College. I am also a member of Davis institute for Artificial Intelligence, where I completed my Postdoctoral training with Prof. Amanda Stent as a Research Fellow. I received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at Rutgers University, where I worked with Prof. Jorge Ortiz as a member of Cyber Physical Intelligence Lab (CyPhILab) and WINLAB.
I direct HUman, MAchiNe, and Enviornment Lab (HUMANE) lab, where I am fortunate work with a group of amazing student collaborators on problems that are inspired by this question: How can human, machine, and the natural envirOnment can co-exist?
My current work sits at the intersection of machine learning and human-computer interaction with a focus on human-centered tools and technology development. I use computational tools and models to understand conversations in our everyday social and professional settings. I also collaborate closely with community leaders, educators, and other stakeholders to develop computational solutions to support environmental sustainability and citizen science projects. My interest in human interaction and public-interest technology enables me to design innovative pedagogy and experiences to make AI education available to people with different backgrounds.
My research goal is to design, develop and evaluate intelligent tools to facilitate fair, reliable, and transparent interaction between humans and machines.
Research Interests: Conversation Analysis, Multimodal Interaction, AI for Environment, AI Education.
