A table is a way to display data or information displayed in rows and columns.

Rows are horizontal sections.

Columns are vertical sections.

eg This table has 7 rows (horizontal) and 2 columns (vertical).

A frequency table is a table that is used to display statistical data, for example the number of times an event occurred.

eg This frequency table displays the number of times a die landed on each outcome, after 60 rolls.

The number 5 came up 11 times out of the 60 rolls.
