parallel & perpendicular

Two lines are parallel if they stay the same distance apart at all times.

We put arrows on the lines to indicate they are parallel.

If we have more than one set of parallel lines, we use two arrows (or more if needed).

eg A parallelogram has two sets of parallel lines.

Two lines are perpendicular if they intersect at a right-angle (90°).
