A bearing is a number between 0 and 360 that indicates direction.
Bearings:
* start from North (usually straight up the page)
* rotate in a clockwise direction from North
* have 3 digits
Example 1
The angle between North and Point B is 77°.
We add a 0 to make the bearing have 3 digits.
Therefore, the bearing from A to B is 077°.
Example 2
The angle between North and Point B is 128°.
Therefore, the bearing from A to B is 128°.
Example 3
The angle between North and Point B is 318°.
This is the reflex angle. The acute angle is only 42°.
We must rotate in a clockwise direction from North and therefore must use 318°.
Therefore, the bearing from A to B is 318°.
