TabSilo - Tab Session Manager is a Chrome extension for saving, organizing, searching, and restoring browser tabs as local tab collections.
TabSilo's single purpose is tab session management: it helps users save open Chrome tabs and windows into named collections, close saved windows when requested, search saved tab sessions, rename collections and window groups, and restore saved tabs later.
TabSilo may read the following browser tab information so it can display, save, search, and restore tab sessions:
Tab title
Tab URL
Favicon URL when available
Chrome window and tab identifiers used only while the browser session is active
Saved collections may include tab titles, URLs, favicon URLs, collection names, window group names, and creation dates.
TabSilo uses tab data only to provide its tab management features:
Showing current Chrome windows and tabs
Saving tabs into named collections
Searching open and saved tabs
Restoring saved tabs and window groups
Renaming and deleting saved collections, window groups, and saved tabs
TabSilo stores saved tab collections locally using Chrome extension storage. This storage is required so saved tab sessions remain available after the popup or manager page is closed.
TabSilo does not use this storage for analytics, tracking, advertising, profiling, or sale of data.
TabSilo does not use remote code. All JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and icon assets are packaged inside the extension. The extension does not download or execute scripts from remote servers.
TabSilo does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with third parties.
TabSilo does not send saved tabs, browsing activity, URLs, titles, collections, or usage data to any external server.
TabSilo does not collect personal information, analytics, browsing history, or usage telemetry. All saved tab session data stays in the user's local Chrome extension storage.
TabSilo requests only the permissions needed for tab session management:
tabs: Required to read tab titles and URLs, focus existing tabs, close saved windows when requested, and restore saved tabs.
storage: Required to save and manage tab collections locally.
Because TabSilo stores tab collections locally and does not transmit them externally, users remain in control of their saved tab data inside their own Chrome profile.
Users can remove saved data at any time by deleting saved tabs, window groups, or collections inside TabSilo. Users can also remove all extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage through Chrome.
The use of information received from Chrome extension APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements.
