This showcase was created to honor the choreographic process and to allow the audience to "peek behind the curtain" at the various methods used in the process of creating a dance or other art works.

Our Special Guest Artists
Emily Jordan
Emily Jordan has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern and musical theatre dance for almost all of her life. She has worked with some of today's most renowned contemporary choreographers including Jason Parsons, Lauren Adams, Sonya Tayeh, Travis Wall, Kirsten Russell, & Andrew Winghart. After graduating she received her Associates degree in Dance in New York City at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. There she performed in many choreography workshops and studied acting and singing on top of her dance curriculum. Since then, Emily has taught and choreographed for schools in New York as well as in South Carolina.
Nekya Perry
Nekya Perry has been a student with Southeastern School of Ballet for the past 5 years. She has trained under the tutelage of Hillary Krieger-Toth, Gabor Toth, Kiyomi Ramirez, Terrance Henderson, Petra Conti, Eris Nezha, James Fayette, Jenifer Ringer, Sabi Varga, and Emily Entingh. Nekya has attended summer intensives with the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and Southeastern School of Ballet. She was also an apprentice with Yuhas and Dancers in 2021 under the direction of Meredith Gawai. Nekya aspires to dance professionally and share this art with her community while being a ray of light for the youth.
Maggie Lampl
Maggie is native to Columbia, SC and attended the University of South Carolina and holds a BA in Dance Performance and Choreography. After graduating in 2022, she is currently studying at Southeastern School of Ballet.
Davon Bush
Davon Bush aka LionHeart is a world recognized Krump Dancer and Artist, born & raised in Columbia, S.C.
He began his journey at the age of 16, as the youngest Krumper in the community, to eventually becoming a leader of the of the South Carolina Krump movement at 20. Lion since then has organized Krump events recognized throughout the states, taught in many different schools, colleges, studios, communities in New Zealand, performed in many events/showcases in the Carolinas, and competed against some of the biggest names in the largest Krump events nation wide. Still continuing to work hard to create opportunities for South Carolina Krumpers, he is now leading the production of the “ILL Street”, a dance event that is designed to create a bigger platform for Krumpers throughout the Carolinas, and is continuing to provide Krump education, media content, and thought-provoking performance pieces under the Columbia based group called “LionxDen” which he also leads. Having trained with Krump creator and “Rize” star “Tight Eyex”, and pioneer “Rapture”, he is consistently evolving taking Krump education very seriously, continuing to follow his passion for teaching, competition, and creating welcoming spaces for Krump by breaking common misconceptions and showing the art form in a different light..
