As customers grow their deployments in the public cloud and on-premises data centers, management tools are evolving to meet customer needs. System Center suite continues to play an important role in managing the on-premises data center and the evolving IT needs with the adoption of the public cloud.

Today, I am excited to announce that Microsoft System Center 2019 will be generally available in March 2019. System Center 2019 enables deployment and management of Windows Server 2019 at a larger scale to meet your data center needs.

Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) is a significant trend in on-premises data centers today. Customers see lowered costs by using their servers with high performant local disks to run compute and storage needs at the same time.

Microsoft System Center is a suite of software products designed to simplify the deployment, configuration and management of IT infrastructure and virtualized software-defined data centers (SDDCs). Suitable for both on-premises and hybrid cloud environments, System Center products support IT administrators with infrastructure provisioning, infrastructure monitoring, automation, backup and IT service management.

Microsoft System Center 2022 is an enterprise-class data center management software suite. It became generally available in April 2022. Its products support unified IT deployment and management across both on-premises data centers and hybrid cloud environments and incorporate advanced capabilities and features for simplified data center management across diverse IT environments and business models.

Modern data center environments consist of multiple components, such as compute, networking and storage. They often utilize Windows Server, Azure Stack HCI, VMWare deployments and more. These elements increase the complexity of data centers and create numerous challenges around data center management. System Center reduces infrastructure management complexity and enables data center managers to effectively manage an entire IT environment, no matter how diverse it is.

First released in 2008, Microsoft System Center simplifies data center management across all enterprise IT environments. The latest version is System Center 2022, which consists of five different software products:

System Center unifies data center management practices, regardless of underlying platforms or the heterogeneity of the data center. Data centers using Windows Server 2022 and SQL Server infrastructure especially can benefit from the tool set available in System Center 2022, but the suite also supports the management of Azure Stack HCI 21H2, VMware 7.0 hosts and the latest Linux distributions.

System Center is a comprehensive platform for networking, storage, compute and security, which enables organizations to easily deploy and manage their SDDCs. It simplifies data center operations so that organizations can control their IT estate across all environments and platforms. Its products enable IT managers to easily manage heterogenous infrastructure and unify workload management across Windows Server, SQL Server, Linux, Azure Stack HCI, VMware and Hyper-V environments.

Azure Arc is a service that enables admins and developers to build and operate applications and Azure services across data centers, at the edge and in multi-cloud environments. It extends the Azure platform and provides a consistent development, operations and security model to create cloud-native applications and run them on Kubernetes.

Simplify lifecycle management and take control of your Azure Stack HCI, Datacenter and distributed environments with OpenManage Integration for Microsoft System Center (OMIMSSC) for System Center Virtual Machine Manager, streamlining operations and managing software defined and hybrid cloud environments.

The center is home to two state-of-the-art financial systems labs, each of which contains powerful hardware and leading-edge software tools that replicate the look and feel of the technologies in place at finance companies. These labs challenge students to apply lessons in asset pricing, risk management, portfolio strategy and cybersecurity to real business problems.

We are grateful to our benefactors Sean and Cathy Hanlon. Sean, a Stevens Trustee and Alumnus, had a vision for a state-of-the-art financial technology and teaching center to create a dynamic connection between financial theories and real-world practices. The HFSC and associated labs integrate the latest hardware and software technology, accessing real-time data and historical data, supporting innovative research into the most common and urgent problems in contemporary finance.

Education Systems Center (EdSystems) is a mission-driven policy development and program implementation center based within Northern Illinois University. We work at both the State and local levels to ensure policies are created and implemented in meaningful ways to advance racial equity and prepare more learners for productive careers and lives in a global economy.

The 164-ed facility is located near Stetson University, in the historic downtown center of DeLand with quick access to International Speedway Boulevard. In addition to our main hospital, we also offer several satellite facilities in DeLand that house our Cancer Institute, Digestive Health Center and a robust array of healthcare services at Victoria Medical Park.

HRMC is a 514 beds hospital and state-accredited Level II trauma center serving Brevard and Indian River Counties. Located near downtown Melbourne, it is the region's premier tertiary referral hospital, offering rapid patient transport via First Flight aeromedical helicopter, 24/7 trauma care, neuroscience, orthopedics, Level II Neonatal ICU, birthing suites, The Heart Center, Primary Stroke Center, state-of-the-art robotics-assisted surgery, outpatient services and more.

Orlando CPE System Center offers CPE across Central Florida with clinical sites in: Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Celebration, Daytona Beach, DeLand, Deltona, Kissimmee, Melbourne, New Smyrna Beach, Orlando, Palm Coast, Tavares, Titusville, Winter Garden, Winter Park. Additionally, the center offers online mixed-mode or synchronous online learning units in various clinical sites at AdventHealth sites and affiliates that do not have CPE programming.

You can use SCVMM to configure all data center components needed to run a virtual environment, such as virtualization servers, storage resources, and networking components, as well as provision hosts and VMs:

Microsoft released the System Center suite with SCVMM for large heterogeneous environments that deploy both VMware and Hyper-V and span on-premises data centers and the Azure public cloud. SCVMM can support up to 1,000 hosts and 25,000 VMs.

Microsoft has several virtualization infrastructure management tools that target businesses of different sizes and needs. At no cost, Hyper-V Manager, Failover Cluster Manager, and Windows Admin Center provide robust performance in managing and monitoring small and medium-sized data centers.

Level I trauma centers have an organized trauma response and are required to provide total care for every aspect of injury, from prevention through rehabilitation. These facilities must have adequate depth of resources and personnel with the capability of providing leadership, education, research, and system planning.

Level II trauma centers have an organized trauma response and are also expected to provide initial definitive care, regardless of the severity of injury. The specialty requirements may be fulfilled by on call staff that is promptly available to the patient. Due to limited resources, Level II centers may have to transfer more complex injuries to a Level I center. Level II centers should also take on responsibility for education and system leadership within their region.

Level III trauma centers, through an organized trauma response, can provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, emergency operations and also arrange for the transfer of the patient to a facility that can provide definitive trauma care. Level III centers should also take on responsibility for education and system leadership within their region.

Microsoft System Center Orchestrator is a workflow management solution for the data center. Orchestrator (SCO) lets you automate the creation, monitoring, and deployment of resources in your environment. With the Pure Storage PowerShell SDK it is possible to leverage the workflow capabilities with SCO. In this article a simple example of how to leverage the PowerShell SDK with Microsoft System Center 2012 Orchestrator will be discussed. Using Orchestrator along with the Pure Storage PowerShell SDK could provide some interesting scenarios to automate Dev/Test operations for example.Microsoft System Center Orchestrator (SCO) allows for the automations of tasks in a variety of different applications, services and tools.
