If you want open-ear awareness and a workout-focused fit for exercise, choose Syohoxi Ultra-Comfortable Open-Ear sport; if you need child-friendly headphones for travel, choose Bandou 3.0. The Syohoxi is built around movement, sweat resistance, and hearing your surroundings, while the Bandou is a soft, volume-limited headband made for kids’ listening.
These are not two versions of the same kind of headphone. For exercise, Syohoxi is the clear match; Bandou 3.0 makes more sense for a child who needs comfortable audio on a plane, in the car, or while resting.
Syohoxi Ultra-Comfortable Open-Ear sport vs Bandou 3.0 at a Glance
• Bandou’s strength: A child-focused fabric headband, volume limiting, Bluetooth and wired listening, and up to 35 hours of battery life. Trade-off: Its headband format and kid-oriented design are not aimed at workouts.
• Choose Syohoxi for running, cycling, gym sessions, and other active use where awareness matters.
• Choose Bandou 3.0 for children who need a comfortable option for travel, school, or quiet listening.
Syohoxi’s defining choice is its open-ear bone-conduction design. Rather than placing a conventional earbud inside the canal, it leaves the canals unobstructed and sends audio through bone conduction. That makes it the more natural fit for outdoor exercise when hearing traffic or other nearby activity is part of the routine. It is also relevant in a gym where a person may want to remain aware of instructions and activity around them.
The ear hooks are described as lightweight, ergonomically shaped, and coated in silicone. The product information lists a weight of 28 g, Bluetooth 5.3, and a wireless range of 10 meters. Its IP56 rating is intended for sweat and rain exposure; it is explicitly not suitable for swimming. The listed battery life is up to 8 hours, with a 2-hour charge time and a short-charge feature that provides up to 30 minutes of playback after five minutes of charging.
I’d consider Syohoxi for someone seeking sport-oriented open-ear headphones, especially for running, cycling, or gym use. The built-in call noise cancellation is another practical feature for someone who may take calls during a workout. I would skip it if the priority is a child-safe volume limit, wired connection to an entertainment system, or a headband that lets a listener rest their head against a seat or pillow. Its open design also means it is not the choice for someone who wants the ear area enclosed.
Bandou 3.0 is designed for children, with a soft fabric headband rather than separate rigid earcups or workout hooks. Its stated use cases include plane travel, road trips, school, online learning, and listening while resting. The low-profile format is intended to be more comfortable when a child leans back or lies down, a situation where conventional headphones can press against the side of the head.
The safety-minded feature here is a built-in volume limiter. Bandou supports wireless Bluetooth listening and includes a 3.5 mm AUX cable for wired playback, including use with compatible airplane entertainment systems. Its Bluetooth version is 6, and the listed battery life is up to 35 hours, with charging taking about 2–3 hours. The electronic components can be removed so the fabric headband can be washed according to the product description.
I’d choose Bandou for a child who needs a soft, travel-friendly listening option and may benefit from volume limiting. The wired option is useful when Bluetooth is not available or when connecting to an airplane’s seatback system. I would skip it for an adult looking for dedicated sport headphones: the product is sized and described for kids, and its headband design does not offer the open-ear workout fit or stated sweat-and-rain rating of Syohoxi.

The phrase “best in ear earbuds for exercise” points many shoppers toward a familiar style, but Syohoxi is not an in-ear design. Its open-ear format may suit someone who wants music without plugging the ear canals. Likewise, people searching for the best lightweight over ear headphones for exercise or wireless on ear headphones for exercise should note that neither label describes Syohoxi exactly: it uses open-ear hooks and bone conduction. Bandou’s headband is also a different proposition, built around children’s comfort rather than athletic movement.
These differences matter more than comparing a single specification. Bandou’s longer battery life is meaningful on long journeys, but it does not make it the stronger workout choice. Syohoxi’s sweat-and-rain rating and open construction fit active use, but those features do not make it a child-focused travel headphone. The right pick follows the job.
In my opinion, I would choose Syohoxi Ultra-Comfortable Open-Ear sport for exercise because its open-ear design, IP56 rating, and workout-oriented fit align with running, cycling, and gym use.
Bandou 3.0 has the more compelling setup for a child: volume limiting, a soft headband, long listed battery life, and a wired option.
But these products serve different listeners, and I would not treat Bandou as a direct sports alternative.
For an adult choosing specifically for exercise, Syohoxi is my clear recommendation.
