These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lottery Syndicate mobile application (“the App”) and services provided through it. By registering or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
Lottery Syndicate is operated by HOPLA Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
The App is a lottery syndicate coordination tool. It allows users to:
Select and submit preferred lottery number combinations,
Coordinate participation in shared entries for official lottery draws,
View proof of ticket acquisition after processing,
Track their share of winnings assigned to them through a secure, display-only in-app (web) wallet.
The App does not operate a lottery, promote gambling, or sell tickets. It acts as a coordination and messaging tool, assisting users in coordinating participation in official, state-licensed lottery draws. All ticket purchases and winnings processing occur outside the App.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this App.
Use of the App is not permitted in jurisdictions where participation in group lottery services or syndicate coordination tools is restricted or prohibited.
To confirm eligibility, we use Yoti to verify your age during on-boarding. By registering, you agree to complete age verification via Yoti when prompted. Your age status is checked securely, and no personal identification documents are collected or stored in the App.
By using the App, you confirm that:
You are legally allowed to participate in group lottery services in your jurisdiction,
You are not accessing the App from a restricted location,
You are willing to complete age verification using Yoti as part of your registration.
You must create an account to access the App. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it if necessary.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. All activities that occur under your account are your responsibility.
Users may select number combinations and record their participation in a shared entry for an official lottery draw. These entries are consolidated by a designated organiser who purchases official lottery tickets externally, on behalf of the group. The organiser is responsible for acquiring official lottery tickets externally and submitting proof of purchase.
When a user participates in a shared entry, they pay a service fee. This covers organisational and processing costs.
Payments are processed externally via the Revolut platform. No payment is collected, held, or processed within the App.
Users are redirected to the Revolut payment interface to complete the transaction. The App does not function as a betting or gaming service and does not sell or distribute lottery tickets.
Once tickets are obtained by the organiser, they are uploaded and viewable via the Proof of Purchase (P.o.P) screen.
Please allow up to 2 hours for ticket purchases to be processed and displayed.
Winnings are calculated externally based on official lottery results and the shares recorded at the time the entry is finalised on the Web Account. The App plays no role in determining winning numbers or allocating prize amounts.
Your in-app wallet balance reflects the share of winnings assigned to you. This is a closed-loop wallet and cannot be topped up, transferred, or used for transactions. It exists solely to display winnings data already processed outside the App.
Withdrawal requests are processed externally using third-party payment tools (e.g., Revolut Payout Links). The App does not process, hold, or transfer any funds internally. Users must ensure that their full legal name provided in the App matches their payout account to avoid delays.
This App is not:
A lottery operator,
A gambling service,
An agent of any national or regional lottery provider.
The App does not:
Operate lottery draws
Accept bets or wagers
Sell or resell lottery tickets
Act as an agent for any lottery operator
The App enables users to collaborate and coordinate group entries into official lottery games. All purchases and prize claims are managed independently by the group organiser.
You are responsible for providing accurate personal information, including your legal name, to facilitate secure withdrawal of any winnings.
The App is not liable for payment delays caused by mismatched names, incorrect banking details, or external platform errors (e.g. Revolut).
You agree not to:
Use the App to conduct or promote illegal activity,
Misrepresent your identity or age,
Attempt to manipulate, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the App’s operations,
Submit abusive or offensive content.
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive activity.
All content, trademarks, and other intellectual property on the App are owned by Lottery Syndicate or its licensor.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any portion of the App without our prior written consent.
The App may integrate or interact with third-party services, including payment providers and identity verification services. Lottery Syndicate is not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of such third-party services.
The App is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. Lottery Syndicate makes no representations or warranties of any kind, either express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the App.
We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components. Access to the App may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons.
Lottery Syndicate is not responsible for the conduct of external organisers or third-party payment providers.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lottery Syndicate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
In no event shall our total liability for any claims related to these Terms exceed the total amount of fees paid by you for the use of the App during the relevant period.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lottery Syndicate and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or any violation of these Terms.
If you have a complaint about any aspect of the Lottery Syndicate service, you should raise it via the in-app Support feature or the pre-login contact form. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 8 weeks in accordance with our Complaints & Disputes Policy.
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Lottery Syndicate may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the App at any time without liability.
Lottery Syndicate reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the App. Your continued use of the App after modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
