Symbiose — Privacy Policy Effective Date: September 10, 2025

Symbiose (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. Symbiose works offline and stores data only on your device.

Information We Collect 

No account, no cloud, no ads, no tracking.

Information you provide (stored locally on your device):

• Daily habit logs (e.g., food choices, hydration, sleep, exercise, stress)

• Medication and supplements (e.g., probiotic/prebiotic)

• Stool type

• Oral health inputs (e.g., brushing, flossing, mouthwash, sugar before bed, dryness, freshness, gum status)

• Optional notes or ratings (e.g., mood, energy)

• Timestamps for each entry

Automatically collected information:

None by default. Symbiose does not collect analytics or send data to servers.

If your device or OS records generic crash info, it stays within the OS unless you explicitly share it.

How We Use Your Information 

• All processing happens on-device to:

• Display your logs and history (including monthly calendar)

• Calculate in-app scores (e.g., Microbial Balance, Energy, Mood Resilience, Digestion)

• Update the organism’s state and visuals

• Provide insights and trends over time

• Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device only.

We do not transmit your data to external servers.

We do not have access to your data.

Your device’s standard security (OS sandbox, screen lock, device encryption if enabled) protects your data.

You can reset data anytime in Settings (Danger Zone) or by uninstalling the app.

Permissions

Notifications (optional): if enabled for reminders.

Storage/Share (optional): used only when you export data (e.g., CSV to clipboard or file/share). No automatic exports.

Network: not required for core features.

Third-Party Services

Symbiose does not use third-party analytics or ads.

No data is shared with third parties.

Data Export

You can export your logs (e.g., CSV) manually from the History/Settings pages.

Exports are user-initiated and saved/shared only where you choose (clipboard, file, or share target).

No background transfers occur.

Your Rights and Control Because all data is local:

• Edit or delete individual entries anytime.

• Reset all data from Settings → Danger Zone.

• Uninstalling the app removes all local data.

Health Information Notice 

Symbiose is a wellness and habit-support tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. For medical concerns, consult qualified healthcare professionals.

Children’s Privacy 

Symbiose is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy 

We may update this Policy from time to time. Updates will appear in-app with an updated “Effective Date.”
