do phylogenetic maps accurately represent the natural growth of a tree?  Is a tree´s natural growth an accurate model for phylogenetics of biological evolution or language?  (Phylogenetic trees seem to show always a branching of one into two, but could a 3 way simultaneous branching occurr?)
