Star Wars Episode V: The Rebellion Strikes Back

An Alternate History West End Games D6 Campaign

What if the Empire had won at Yavin? What if Luke, Han, and Leia weren't around to help bring freedom to the galaxy? What if new heroes had to fill those shoes? That's the story we're telling in our TTRPG campaign, using the West End Games D6 2nd Edition Revised and Expanded Star Wars Role Playing Game.

Our Main Characters

Lt. Val Slayer

Former Rebel Pilot

Raised in Corellia, Val's fascination with flight was ignited at a young age, propelling him into the prestigious halls of the Imperial Flight School.

As a cadet, Val's natural talent and relentless drive quickly set him apart from his peers, earning him accolades and admiration from his instructors. Yet, beneath the surface of his dutiful facade, Val harbored doubts about the Empire's methods, troubled by the oppression and suffering it wrought upon the galaxy.

The Battle of Yavin would prove to be the turning point in Val's allegiance. As one of the brave Rebel pilots who dared to challenge the Empire's Death Star, Val fought valiantly alongside his rebel mates, only to witness the devastating defeat that followed.

In the aftermath of Yavin, Val made the bold decision to part ways with the Rebellion, disillusioned by its seeming inability to strike a decisive blow against the Empire.

As a maverick pilot, Val roams the stars aboard his trusty YT-1930 Hunter's Hope, pushing its limits to the edge in pursuit of profit and excitement.

Kenth Fel

Scout for the Outer Javin Company

Kenth Fel was born in Batuu  and grew up hearing stories of corporate scouts traveling to Wild Space and the Unknown Regions. Despite of what was going on in the galaxy at large Kenth was determined to become one and make adventures of his own.

He was hired by and became one of the most valuable scouts for the Outer Javin Company.

Quinn

Chiss Student of the Force

Dakti’quin’moalis (Quinn) was born on Csilla, the icy home world of the enigmatic Chiss Ascendancy. From a young age, he displayed remarkable intelligence and strategic thinking, traits highly valued by his people. However, he always felt like an outsider, questioning the rigid societal norms and military hierarchy enforced by the Ascendancy.

As he grew older, Quinn's dissatisfaction with the Ascendancy intensified. He witnessed the oppression of dissenting voices and the suppression of individuality in the name of unity and order. Despite his reservations, he excelled in his military training, rising through the ranks with ease due to his exceptional tactical prowess.

It wasn't until his late teens that his life took a drastic turn. During a skirmish with a rogue faction on the fringes of Chiss space, Quinn discovered a latent connection to the Force within himself. Initially, he struggled to comprehend this newfound power, fearing the repercussions from the conservative Chiss society if his abilities were exposed.

Terrified of the consequences of being discovered as a Force-sensitive in a society that viewed such abilities with suspicion and fear, Quinn made a daring decision. With the help of a few sympathetic allies, he orchestrated his escape from Csilla, fleeing into the uncharted regions of the galaxy to evade detection by the authorities of the Ascendancy. Taking on the nickname "Quinn" to conceal his true identity, he began a new life as a wanderer.

Nagaka

Wookiee Bounty Hunter

Former slave, now turned bounty hunter, Nagaka is aligned to the Skine Bounty Hunter College, which is not an academic institution at all , but rather loosely managed network of hunters, spies, smugglers, and informants operating throughout much of the known galaxy.

The College is unusual in that almost all of its hunters are very specialized individuals at the top of their particular field, Nagaka's being demolitions.
