Swpp Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 4, 2026
Swpp is a movie and TV discovery application that helps users swipe through titles, build watch lists, and receive content recommendations.
This Privacy Policy explains how Swpp collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app.
1. Information We Store
Swpp stores certain information locally on your device to make the app work properly, including:
- App preferences such as content mode, age range, country, and platform preferences
- Token balance and token-related app state
- Basic app settings
Swpp also creates an anonymous identifier for your device/installation. Your swipe decisions (Watched, Watchlist, and Not Interested) are sent to and stored on Swpp's servers, linked to this anonymous identifier. This allows Swpp to avoid showing you the same title again and to power your personalized recommendations across app sessions.
This anonymous identifier is not linked to your name, email, or other personally identifying information, and Swpp does not currently require a user account to use the app.
2. Analytics and App Performance
Swpp uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and improve the product experience. This may include information such as:
App opens and screen views
Swipe and engagement events
Feature usage
General app performance signals
Device and app information used for analytics
Swpp also uses Firebase Crashlytics to help detect crashes, bugs, and stability issues. Crash reports may include device information, app version, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
3. Advertising
Swpp uses Google AdMob to show optional rewarded ads and native ads.
AdMob may collect or use data such as device identifiers, advertising ID, app interactions, approximate device information, and ad performance data to provide, measure, and improve advertising.
Users may see rewarded ads in exchange for in-app tokens, and native ads may appear inside the app experience.
4. Movie and TV Data
Swpp uses third-party movie and TV data providers, including TMDB, to display title information such as names, posters, release years, ratings, genres, and descriptions.
Swpp does not control the content or metadata provided by these third-party data sources.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide the app’s core swipe and recommendation experience
Save your local lists and preferences
Improve app performance and stability
Understand feature usage
Show and measure ads
Detect crashes and technical issues
6. Data Sharing
Swpp may share limited data with third-party service providers used inside the app, including:
Google Firebase Analytics
Google Firebase Crashlytics
Google AdMob
TMDB or related movie/TV metadata services
These services process data according to their own privacy policies and platform terms.
Swpp does not sell personal information.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information processed by the app. Data transmitted through third-party services is generally encrypted in transit.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Data Deletion
Most Swpp user data is stored locally on your device. You can clear local app data through the app settings or through your device settings by deleting the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

9. Children’s Privacy
Swpp is not designed for children and is not directed to users under 18 years old.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
