Khairool had a taste of the startup scene when he first joined Shell Livewire in 2017. As one of the 5 winners and the first batch for Sarawak, he founded Codelab Academy, a STEM startup focused on teaching kids to code. Aspiring to achieve more, he then joined Sarawak Multimedia Authority in 2019, and subsequently Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) in 2020, as part of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship team that enables and supports the creation and growth of more startups and community builder in Sarawak. With a soft spot for STEM, Khairool and his team also frequently participated during the delivery of programs for both startups and STEM.
