Dr. Harry Entebang is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Over the years, he had assumed several senior management positions including Director General of Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) and CEO of UNIMAS Holdings Sdn Bhd between 2014 to November 2018 on secondment basis. Prior to joining UNIMAS, he worked for Sarawak state government agencies for 12 years in the field of accounting and financial management.
Dr. Entebang is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, and a Chartered Public Finance & Accountancy (CPFA), of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, UK. He holds a Diploma in Accounting and a Bachelor Degree in Accounting (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), a post Graduate Diploma in Teaching & Learning, an MBA degree majoring in Finance from UNIMAS, and a PhD degree in Business Management majoring in corporate entrepreneurship from the Queen’s University, Belfast, United Kingdom. In addition, he has completed the Value Investing certification by Columbia Business School, New York through its Executive Education Program.
Dr. Entebang’s areas of expertise include new venture start-up, accounting, cash flow and financial management, strategic planning and transformation, governance & risk management, entrepreneurship, government procurement, taxation, and value investing. He is also active in providing consultancy services, and has facilitated numerous workshops and trainings with various government agencies since 2003. To-date he has trained more than 3000 contractors and suppliers through out the state. He has also given talks to senior management of public listed government-linked companies (GLCs) in Kuala Lumpur (Maybank, UMW, Telekom & Tenaga) on corporate innovation, strategic renewal, and corporate venturing strategies - the key to creating organisation’s entrepreneurial advantage.
