If you want a dedicated tool for serious lap swimming with a secure underwater seal and zero drag, choose Swimbuds Sport Waterproof Swimming; if you need versatile wireless earbuds for gym sessions, running, or remote work where microphone clarity matters, choose Wisoqu Earbuds.
These two devices live in completely different worlds of audio engineering. One is a specialized piece of dive gear designed to function only when submerged, while the other is a general-purpose Bluetooth headset built for mobility on land. I have analyzed the specifications, connectivity options, and physical design constraints of both to help you decide which fits your specific routine. If your primary goal involves remote work, the Wisoqu model offers the necessary flexibility and microphone integration that the swim-specific Swimbuds simply cannot provide. However, if your day ends with a 20-lap session, the Swimbuds are the only logical choice.
• Swimbuds Sport: The ultimate strength is its 100% waterproof IPX8 rating and low-drag short cord optimized for competitive swimming; the trade-off is that it requires a wired connection and lacks any wireless features or microphone for calls.
• Wisoqu Earbuds: The standout feature is the Bluetooth 5.3 chip providing stable wireless connectivity up to 10 meters, along with an LED power display and IPX4 sweat resistance; the trade-off is that it is not submersible and cannot be used underwater.
• Best for: Swimbuds is for the dedicated aquatic athlete who needs audio under water; Wisoqu is for the active user or remote worker who needs wireless freedom and voice communication.
The Swimbuds Sport is engineered with a singular, non-negotiable purpose: delivering clear audio while submerged. This is not a pair of earbuds you use for a jog around the block or a quick meeting; it is a piece of hardware designed specifically for the hydrodynamic environment of a pool. The defining characteristic here is the 40cm short-cord cable. In the water, long cords become dangerous obstacles that create drag and can easily tangle around your limbs. By keeping the cable short and heavy-duty, this product ensures you can focus entirely on your stroke rate without fighting the equipment.

What truly sets this apart is the customization of the fit. The package includes 11 pairs of eartips across four distinct styles. This is critical because every human ear canal is shaped differently, and a watertight seal is the difference between hearing your music clearly or hearing nothing but the rush of water. You need to find a configuration that locks tight enough to keep water out but remains comfortable for extended periods. The inclusion of a zip case and the ability to wear them tucked into goggle straps above the ear shows a deep understanding of how swimmers actually operate. They are designed to stay put even when you push off the wall with maximum force.
However, you must skip this product if you plan to listen to music while walking, working from home, or doing anything other than swimming. The lack of wireless technology means you are tethered to a music player via a 3.5mm jack. Furthermore, there is no mention of a built-in microphone or noise cancellation features suitable for conversation. It is a one-trick pony, but that trick is performed exceptionally well. If you are looking for a device to handle your Zoom calls or take phone calls while drying off after a shower, this is not the tool for the job. It is purely for the "HydroBeat" experience underwater.
The Wisoqu Earbuds are built for the modern, mobile lifestyle where versatility is king. These are true wireless stereo (TWS) units powered by the latest Bluetooth 5.3 chip, which promises a more stable connection and a range of approximately 10 meters. This makes them ideal for scenarios where you might move away from your phone slightly, such as during a workout, while cooking, or perhaps moving around a home office. The inclusion of a charging bin with a 200mAh capacity allows you to charge the earbuds themselves, eliminating the constant need to plug in cables. This battery management system, combined with the LED digital intelligent power display, gives you real-time visibility into your remaining energy, ensuring you never get caught with dead batteries mid-session.
For those considering these for remote work, the design philosophy shifts toward utility and comfort. The IPX4 waterproof rating protects against sweat and light rain, making them durable enough for high-intensity interval training or outdoor runs without fear of damage. The ergonomic design claims to be safe and comfortable, preventing them from loosening or falling out during vigorous movement, which is a common pain point with cheaper alternatives.
That said, these earbuds are not magic. They are not designed for submersion. An IPX4 rating handles splashes and sweat but will fail if you try to dunk them in a pool. They rely on a lithium-ion battery system that, while convenient, introduces a layer of complexity compared to the simple, rugged wiring of the Swimbuds. If you need a device that can double as a gaming headset, a workout companion, and a communication tool for your daily tasks, the Wisoqu hits the mark. But if you need to hear music while underwater, these will not work for you.

• Best for wireless freedom → Wisoqu Earbuds: The Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and charging bin offer total freedom of movement on land.
• Best for remote work communication → Wisoqu Earbuds: The wireless nature and likely support for headset profiles make them superior for best with microphone open ear headphones for remote work scenarios compared to a wired swim headphone.
• Best for custom fit security → Swimbuds Sport Waterproof Swimming: With 11 pairs of tips and 4 styles, it offers a level of seal customization unmatched by generic sport earbuds.
• Best for battery monitoring → Wisoqu Earbuds: The LED digital display lets you check power levels instantly, whereas the Swimbuds relies on external battery life.
• Best for durability against sweat → Wisoqu Earbuds: The IPX4 rating is sufficient for intense workouts, though Swimbuds wins on total water immersion.
• Best for touch control neckband headphones for remote work → Wisoqu Earbuds: The wireless design allows for easier integration with smart devices and controls compared to the fixed cord of the swimmer.
• Best for minimal setup → Swimbuds Sport Waterproof Swimming: No pairing process, no charging cases to manage—just plug and play for immediate underwater use.
After weighing the specs and the intended use cases, I would buy the Wisoqu Earbuds for my daily life. The reality is that most of us spend far more time working, commuting, or exercising on land than we do swimming. The Wisoqu offers the flexibility of Bluetooth 5.3, the convenience of a charging case, and the robustness needed for a sweaty gym session or a rainy run. It is the smarter all-around investment for someone who needs a single pair of earbuds to handle multiple roles. If you were a competitive swimmer needing a dedicated training partner, I would switch to the Swimbuds immediately, but for general utility and remote work needs, the Wisoqu is the clear winner.
The Wisoqu Earbuds support standard Bluetooth profiles like HSP, which typically enable microphone functionality for calls, making them a strong candidate for remote work compared to the wired Swimbuds which lacks this feature.
No, the Wisoqu Earbuds only have an IPX4 rating, meaning they resist sweat and splashes but are not submersible. You must use the Swimbuds Sport for any activity involving full water immersion.
The Swimbuds Sport are wired headphones powered by an external source via a 3.5mm jack and do not include a battery or charging case; they rely on the connected device for power.
The Swimbuds Sport utilizes third-generation HydroBeat technology specifically tuned for underwater acoustics, offering significantly clearer sound in a pool environment than any standard air-tuned earbud could achieve.
