SwiftClean Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 15, 2026
App Name: SwiftClean
Developer: Swift Cleaner
Contact Email: urdavam@gmail.com
1. Overview
SwiftClean is designed to help users review storage status, scan and clean cache or junk files, identify large files, review screenshots, compress photos, view RAM status, manage installed apps, and control notification permission settings.
We aim to process information locally on your device whenever possible. We do not sell your personal files, photos, app lists, storage information, or device information.
2. Information We Process
Depending on the features you choose to use, the app may process the following categories of information:
- Device and storage information: total storage, available storage, memory status, Android version-dependent storage access status, and similar technical details used to show device utility results.
- Storage and file information: file names, file sizes, file paths, file types, cache files, APK files, log files, temporary files, large files, screenshots, photos, and thumbnails used for scanning, review, deletion, and photo compression features.
- Photo and media information: image file names, sizes, paths, MediaStore identifiers, thumbnails, and compressed output size information used for screenshot management and photo compression.
- Installed app information: app names, package names, icons, install time, app size, storage usage, and last-used time where Android usage access is granted, used for App Manager and RAM Status features.
- Notification setting information: your notification permission status and local important-notice preference.
- Advertising information: advertising identifiers, approximate device signals, ad interaction events, IP address, crash or performance information, and similar data may be processed by Google advertising services if ads are enabled in the app version you use.
The exact information available to the app depends on your Android version, device manufacturer, permissions you grant, and features you choose to use.
3. Permissions and Why We Use Them
Storage and media access
We may request storage permissions such as READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older supported Android versions. These permissions are used to scan and show photos, screenshots, large files, APK files, cache files, log files, and temporary files before you choose whether to delete or compress them.
Manage all files access
On Android 11 and above, some cleaning features may require MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE to scan and clean files outside app-specific storage. We use this access only for file scanning, review, deletion, and cleaning actions that you start.
Notification permission
POST_NOTIFICATIONS may be requested on supported Android versions so the app can send important app notices if you enable them.
Usage access
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS may be requested to show app last-used time, calculate more complete app storage usage, and help identify candidate apps for the RAM Status feature. You can enable or disable this access in Android system settings.
Installed apps access
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES may be used to list installed apps, display app names and icons, show package names, and support App Manager, uninstall, and RAM Status features.
App management and RAM controls
REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES may be used when you choose to uninstall an app through App Manager. RAM Status may open the Android system app details page so you can manually choose system-provided app controls.
Internet and network state
Internet or network state access may be used by advertising services included in the app build to load and measure ads.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide storage review, cache cleaning, large file review, screenshot review, photo compression, App Manager, and RAM Status features.
- Show file, photo, app, storage, and memory results inside the app.
- Allow you to select files, screenshots, photos, or apps before performing deletion, compression, uninstall, or opening Android system app controls.
- Maintain app security, prevent misuse, diagnose issues, and improve app stability.
- Show and measure ads if advertising is enabled in the app version you use.
- Comply with applicable laws, platform requirements, and enforcement requests.
5. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The app includes Google advertising services. If ads are enabled in the app version you use, these services may collect or receive information such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, app activity related to ads, crash information, and approximate location inferred from network signals, depending on your device settings and the provider's policies.
Third-party service providers process information according to their own privacy policies. You can manage advertising personalization and reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android device settings where supported.
6. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following situations:
- Service providers: with providers that help operate advertising, diagnostics, app functionality, or infrastructure.
- Legal and safety reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect users, the app, or others.
- Business changes: if the app or developer is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of assets.
- With your action: when you choose to share information, open system settings, grant permissions, or perform a feature action.
7. Data Retention
Scan results, selected items, photo thumbnails, compression results, permission states, and settings may be stored locally on your device for app functionality. We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Files, screenshots, photos, and app data shown for cleaning or management are controlled by your device and your choices. When you choose to delete files, compress photos, uninstall apps, or open Android system app controls, those actions are performed on your device.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the app. However, no method of transmission, storage, or device processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your Choices and Controls
You can control app access and information processing in several ways:
- Grant or deny permissions when Android asks for them.
- Disable permissions later in Android system settings.
- Disable notification permission in Android notification settings.
- Disable usage access in Android usage access settings.
- Choose which files, screenshots, photos, large files, or apps to clean, compress, uninstall, or manage where the app provides selection controls.
