Sangwon Kim received B.E. degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon, the Republic of Korea in 2015. He received M.E. and Dr.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Information Systems from the University of Tokyo, Japan in 2017 and 2020 respectively.

He was a staff engineer at the Global Manufacturing & Infrastructure Department in Samsung Electronics, South Korea, from 2020 to 2022.

His research interests include power system operation and stability analysis including HVDC systems and renewable energy integration using smart technology.
