ChatSweep – Bulk Delete for ChatGPT ("the extension") lets you select and delete multiple of your own ChatGPT conversations at once. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.
The extension does not collect, store, sell or transmit any of your data to the developer or to any third party. Everything happens locally in your browser, between your browser and chatgpt.com.
Session access token: To list and delete your conversations, the extension reads the access token of your existing, logged-in ChatGPT session from chatgpt.com. It is kept in memory only for the current page and is sent exclusively to chatgpt.com.
Conversation metadata: The extension loads the titles, IDs and last-updated dates of your conversations from chatgpt.com in order to display them in the selection list. It does not read message contents.
It does not send any data to the developer's servers or to any third-party service.
It does not store data on your device (no cookies, localStorage or extension storage).
It does not use analytics, tracking or advertising.
It does not sell or share data, and does not use it for any purpose other than the single purpose described above.
Conversations are deleted only when you explicitly select them and confirm. Deletion uses the same mechanism as the delete function in the ChatGPT interface. Deleted conversations are subject to OpenAI's own data retention policies.
The extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI. ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI. Your use of ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI's terms and privacy policy.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
