This Privacy Policy outlines how Swappx App ("Swappx") handles personal information in connection with the Swappx mobile application (the "App").
Swappx is an AI-powered face-swapping platform that enables users to create distinctive digital content through advanced technology.
At Swappx, we are dedicated to safeguarding and respecting your privacy. We take privacy matters seriously and will only utilize your personal information to deliver our Services after obtaining your explicit consent for data collection and processing under the terms outlined below.
This Privacy Policy clarifies when, where, how, and why we collect personal information about you, how we utilize this information, the circumstances under which we may share it with others, your rights concerning your personal data, and the measures we take to keep it secure.
By registering for, downloading, or using our services, you acknowledge and accept this Privacy Policy, which forms part of our Terms of Service. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy periodically.

When utilizing our Services, we collect information that you supply to us directly:
Images. We may collect photographs that you capture using your camera while using our application, as well as images you upload to our application from your device. Please note that content upload from your camera requires camera access permissions.
Video Content. We may collect videos that you record using your camera while using our application, as well as video files you upload from your device. Camera access is required for content creation functionality.
Facial Data. We may collect facial feature information separately from your images solely to provide the face-swapping capabilities of Swappx. It's important to note that we collect facial feature data that does not constitute biometric information.
When you use our Services, we may collect data about your activity within our platform, such as which sections you've accessed and duration of use. We also collect IP addresses, traffic sources, device and operating system information, wireless and mobile network connection details, unique device identifiers, IDFA, geographical region, browser type, language preferences, battery status, and timezone.
We gather usage data through Google Analytics and Facebook App Event Tracking systems. Through these tools, we collect information such as IP addresses, device models, screen resolution and operating systems, session duration, and location data. Based on this information, we analyze user preferences and interests, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and enhance our platform to deliver relevant content and ensure smooth functionality across devices.
Swappx does not use your videos, images, and facial features for any purpose other than providing you with the face-swapping functionality of Swappx. Under no circumstances will Swappx utilize your videos, images, and facial features for facial recognition, as Swappx does not implement facial recognition technologies or other technical methods for processing biometric data for unique user identification or authentication.
We analyze user images and identify feature points (such as eyes, nose, mouth coordinates) of faces in the images for processing purposes. We do not collect facial data. Upon completion of the analysis process, all data is deleted with no information retained.
To provide users with their "face-swapping" effects, the application needs to locate feature points (such as eyes, nose, mouth coordinates).
The complete workflow includes:
You transfer the image or video to our servers.
The server analyzes your image and returns the facial data processing results.
The application automatically combines the facial data processing results with materials to create the final effect.
Information is temporarily stored in encrypted storage.
After the synthesis process concludes, your images are automatically deleted immediately (within 24 hours maximum after completion of the editing session).
We may use information other than videos, images, or facial features to:
deliver, enhance, test, and monitor the performance of our Services;
conduct troubleshooting, diagnose, or resolve technical issues;
strengthen the safety and security of the Services;
track and analyze usage patterns and trends;
develop and test new Service features;
understand your requirements and deliver services and advertisements that match your interests;
utilize information collected through cookies and similar technologies to improve our Services and your experience.
Uploaded Content is collected for display in the user library for repeated use and Service convenience. Uploaded Content is stored on the device and cloud for a specified period and displayed exclusively to you during Service usage. By submitting this content for swapping, you expressly consent to its collection and storage as described herein. Under no circumstances will Swappx use your Uploaded Content for facial recognition, as Swappx does not implement facial recognition technologies or other technical methods for processing biometric data for unique user identification or authentication.
If Swappx decides to modify the processing purposes specified above, we will notify you of such changes before using your personal information for newly established purposes and request your separate consent if required by applicable legislation.
Facial data will not be shared with any third parties. After the analysis process concludes, the images you uploaded will be deleted.
Swappx exclusively uses secure storage solutions, including Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services. These established software providers ensure your data is processed according to the highest data protection standards.
Swappx also incorporates the following platforms into the application:
Firebase – Google's mobile platform that assists Swappx in developing high-quality applications.
AppsFlyer – A mobile attribution and marketing analytics platform that helps Swappx promote the application.
Apphud – A behavioral analytics platform for product intelligence that helps Swappx understand user behavior and create engaging experiences;
Google Analytics – An analytics service provided by Google that tracks and reports Swappx traffic
Facebook App Event Tracking – An analytics service provided by Facebook that tracks and reports Swappx traffic
Swappx does not control third-party platforms, websites, or online services, and Swappx is not responsible for their actions. These platforms, websites, and online services follow different guidelines regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information. Swappx encourages you to review the privacy policies of these platforms, websites, and online services to learn more about how your usage data may be utilized by these vendors.
If you are located in the EU, you should know that the transfer of your data to recipients in these countries is secured either through US contractors' participation in the Privacy Shield Program or based on standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and compliant with EU data protection laws. By using our Services, you consent to such transfer and processing within the purposes outlined herein.
In all instances where we share information with others, we ensure that your information is protected and used solely within the purposes specified in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy. This is accomplished by using only certified services and products, executing personal data protection agreements and non-disclosure agreements with contractors, and implementing technical measures to ensure information protection during storage, use, and transfer.
You should also be aware that Swappx may disclose your personal information to comply with legal requirements. In other words, Swappx may disclose necessary information to officials for investigation or legal proceedings upon official request or to official bodies operating within their authority.
Data Retention. Your data will be stored by Swappx no longer than necessary for the purposes for which the data is processed. Therefore:
your images and videos are stored on Swappx's servers until you complete the editing session, but no longer than 24 hours after session completion. For the remainder of the time, your images and videos used in the Swappx application are stored locally on your mobile device and may be removed at any time by either deleting these images and videos directly from your mobile device's file system or by uninstalling the Swappx application;
anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data will be stored as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes Swappx has outlined in this Privacy Policy.
Data Security. Swappx processes your data using computers and/or other IT-enabled tools. Swappx implements technical and organizational measures to ensure information is processed in a manner that provides appropriate security, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage. For example, Swappx uses verified contractors who may have data access as specified in Section 2 of the Privacy Policy, with whom relevant data processing agreements are executed. We also guide and train our personnel to process your data securely according to our internal data protection policies.
Face Data Retention and Third-Party Processing
Swappx temporarily processes face data solely to generate the requested face-swap result.
Retention: Face data (including feature points and temporary image fragments) is stored only for the duration of the editing process and is automatically deleted within 24 hours after the editing session is completed. This limited retention is necessary to ensure reliable processing, allow brief re-tries if a job fails, and support session continuity.
Third Parties: Face data is not shared with any third parties except our infrastructure provider DigitalOcean, which we use exclusively for secure, encrypted, temporary storage and computation.
Purpose of Third-Party Use: DigitalOcean provides compute and storage resources that enable real-time processing performance, resilience, and uptime.
Third-Party Storage: DigitalOcean does not use, access, or retain face data beyond what is technically necessary to host Swappx’s workloads. All temporary data created during processing is deleted according to Swappx’s retention policy (within 24 hours after session completion).
No Biometric Identification: Swappx does not perform facial recognition or biometric identification and does not create or store biometric templates.
You have the right to access your personal data processed by Swappx App and the right to data portability
This means you can inquire about what personal data of yours is being processed by Swappx. You can also request clarifications on the information described above, including the purpose of collection and processing, processing period, and third parties with information access. You have the right to request your personal data from Swappx in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You also have the right to transmit that data to another controller if the processing is based on your consent or contract and the processing is carried out by automated means.
You have the right to request Swappx to rectify your personal data
This means you can require correction of all inaccurate personal data concerning you. You can also complete personal data if you feel there is a need to do so.
You have the right to request Swappx to erase personal data
You can request Swappx to erase personal data if its processing is no longer necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected and if there are no legal grounds for processing.
You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data by Swappx
In certain legally prescribed cases, you will be able to restrict the processing of your personal data, for example, if you contest the accuracy of your personal data being processed or if Swappx is no longer interested in processing your personal data, but you want Swappx to do this for different reasons, such as to bring a claim against someone, and instead of information erasure, its processing will simply be restricted.
You have the right to withdraw your consent
You can withdraw your consent for the collection and processing of your personal data by Swappx at any time by contacting us, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. After we at Swappx receive such a withdrawal request from you, we will process it promptly, and we will no longer process your personal data unless otherwise required by law.
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data by Swappx
In certain cases prescribed by applicable laws, you can object to the processing of your personal data.
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data when the processing is related to the performance of our task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in us; or we process your data to pursue our or third parties' legitimate interests, and you believe that such interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
If you make a request objecting to processing, we will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing.
Please note that when processing of your personal data is carried out for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to such processing without providing any justification. How to exercise your rights regarding your personal data?
Any requests to exercise your rights can be directed to Swappx through the contact details provided below. These requests are free of charge.
Swappx will provide information on action taken regarding your request related to the rights specified above within one month of receiving the request at the longest. That period may be extended by two additional months if Swappx is overwhelmed by the number of requests or the request in question is complicated and requires extensive action. Swappx will inform you of any such extension within one month of receiving the request, along with the reasons for such delay.
If you have concerns about our reply or action, or lack thereof, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority that is empowered to process such complaints in your country.
The privacy of children is among our primary concerns.
General Age Limitation. At Swappx, we can provide you with the Services only if you are aged 13 or older, and any use or access to the Service by anyone under thirteen (13) is strictly prohibited and violates the Terms and this Policy. If you are under 18, you will need to obtain your parent's/guardian's permission before providing any private information to Swappx. We reserve the right to request reasonable proof of such permission, and you must provide such proof within a reasonable timeframe, but no later than three (3) business days following such request. Should we not receive any response or proof concerning your maturity, we reserve the right to terminate your access to the Services.
Age Limitation for EU Residents. Due to the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you must be at least 16 years old to use our Services. To the extent prohibited by applicable law, we do not allow the use of the Service by EU residents younger than 16 years old, unless with the parent's/guardian's permission as provided above.
If we unintentionally collect personal data, discover any content with, or related to a child under age 13 (or 16 in the EU), we will delete such information as quickly as possible. We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time if doing so is deemed necessary to comply with applicable laws and actual circumstances of the Services' functioning, so please periodically review this page to ensure you're satisfied with any changes.
