How We Can Help

Swanson Services

Your comprehensive Social Security Disability representation

What you can expect from your disability representative

Swanson Services is committed to helping you through this confusing and frustrating process by providing these services:

1) We will meet with you by phone or in person for an initial consultation

    • at this consultation we will look over your work history; assess physical and mental disabling conditions; identify friends, former employers or family members who could help support your case; and establish your key medical or psychological providers
    • after this consultation you will have a detailed checklist of information you need to gather and persons you need to contact before we begin the application

2) At our second appointment we will complete the online application on our secured computer

3) From the application forward we will maintain contact with you on at least a monthly basis by phone, email, mail or in person

4) At your request, we will assist you with additional filings or reportings required by the SSA (Social Security Administration), including

    • accessing your SSA case files and contacting SSA personnel as needed
    • contacting your employers, schools, and medical or psychological providers as needed

5) If and when you are awarded your claim

    • we will provide ongoing guidance about SSA regulations surrounding income, working and other life status changes
    • we will advise you about how your SSA award might affect any other benefits or entitlements which you are receiving

6) if you are denied your claim

    • we will assist you with filing a reconsideration or appeal,
    • we will consult with you and represent you at administrative law judge hearings
    • we will assist you with a reapplication, if there have been substantial changes to your condition
    • or we will turn our records over to another representative at no cost (except for SSA documented case-related expenses such as travel, postage, etc.)
