Funds are available for 2024-2025!
The Spokane Valley Scouts Fund (SVSF) is a Washington Nonprofit 501(c)(3) Corporation (Nonprofit EIN 84-1956896) which provides financial assistance for Scouts BSA and Cub Scouting groups and individuals in the communities in and around Spokane Valley, Washington.
Initial funding for SVSF was provided by our founder and benefactor,
The late Bert J. Porter, via the family trust of
Bert O. and Ruth Porter of Veradale, Washington.
Financial assistance is typically given in the form of matching funds.
With any funding request, please provide information on funding already obtained.
Approved uses include local Eagle Scout Service Projects, equipment and materials supplies for Spokane Valley troops and packs and also for individual Scouts in need.
Administrative overhead costs are kept at an absolute minimum so as to maximize the funding that goes directly to Scouts. Our board of directors is 100% volunteer. Operating costs are limited to annual filing fees with the Secretary of State, minor postage expenses, and occasional banking fees (checks, etc.)
