I am currently pursuing doctoral studies in electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
I hold a Masters in RF & Microwave from Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research,New Delhi and a Masters in Electronics & Instrumentation from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai
My current research interests include antennas, microwave filters, measurement and automation. I'm proficient in RF and microwave communication systems, Antennas design, testing and measurement, 3D EM simulation, Data Acquisition and Prototyping High frequency circuits. I'm skilled in using EM Tools such as Ansys Electromagnetics, Agilent ADS, IE3D, CST, Feko, 4nec2, Antenna Magus, WIPL-D and circuit simulation tools such as NI Multisim, Tina Pro, PSpice.
The motivation for my doctoral research work has been to investigate the radiation properties of knots and propose the new kind of antennas for practical applications. Electrodynamics of knots were studied nearly two decades ago. However practical realization of knot as a radiator was not reported before my research work. During my early days of research, Monopole antenna was conceptualized using the trefoil knots and its performance was measured. Subsequently three different knot antenna prototypes for generating omnidirectional circular polarization were realized. Pattern diversity and polarization diversity antennas has been proposed. Moreover, full circularly polarized antenna with the pattern diversity has been investigated. In addition to developing knot antennas, use of knot as a microwave resonator has also been studied. Finally, a Dual mode - band pass filter has been realized using a trefoil knot resonator.
