Effective Date: October 2, 2026
Welcome to Sudoku Variants for Students ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, particularly young children. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle information in our mobile application (the "App").
Sudoku Variants for Students is designed as a family-friendly educational puzzle game suitable for all ages, including children under the age of 13.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
We prioritize user privacy and adhere to a data minimization approach. We do not require users to register or create an account to play our App.
A. Anonymous User ID & Completed Puzzle Records
Data Collected: We generate and assign a random, anonymous User ID (or Device Identifier) when you use the App.
Purpose: This Anonymous User ID is transmitted to our server solely for App Functionality—specifically to record and sync completed puzzle IDs so that the App can exclude already completed puzzles from future puzzle generation.、
Local Data: Other progression states, saved progress, and favorite puzzles are stored exclusively on your local device and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Anonymity: This Anonymous User ID cannot be used by us to identify, contact, or locate any user in the real world.
B. User Feedback (Optional)
Data Collected: If a user or parent voluntarily chooses to contact us through the in-app feedback feature, they may submit a message title, description, and an email address.
Purpose: This information is used solely for Developer Communication to respond to support inquiries and troubleshoot reported issues.
C. In-App Purchase & Subscription Information
Data Collected: Non-personal purchase transaction tokens and subscription status.
Purpose: Managed securely through our third-party billing processor (RevenueCat and Apple App Store / Google Play Store) to validate purchases and grant access to premium features.
2. Children’s Privacy & COPPA / GDPR Compliance
We comply strictly with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Apple/Google's policies for Kids Category applications.
No Personal Data Collection from Children: We do not knowingly collect, store, or solicit personal identification information (such as real names, physical addresses, phone numbers, or precise location) from children under 13.
No Social Features: The App does not contain public forums, chat rooms, or features allowing users to communicate publicly or share personal data.
3. Advertising and Analytics
No Advertisements: Our App contains NO third-party advertisements, ad banners, or tracking for marketing purposes.
No Cross-App Tracking: We do not track users across third-party websites or applications, nor do we sell, rent, or trade any collected data with third parties.
4. In-App Purchases & Parental Gate
In-App Purchases: The App offers optional in-app purchases or subscriptions to unlock additional puzzle variants and levels.
Parental Gate Protection: To ensure compliance with kids' safety guidelines and prevent accidental or unauthorized purchases by children, all commercial actions (purchasing packages or restoring purchases) are protected behind a Parental Gate (a random arithmetic verification step requiring parent intervention).
5. Data Security & Storage
Data Transmission: All communications between the App and our backend servers are encrypted using standard industry protocols (HTTPS/TLS).
Storage Limit: Server-side records (completed puzzle IDs linked to the anonymous ID) are stored securely and retained only as long as necessary to maintain the core game functionality.
6. Data Deletion and Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians have full control over their family's data:
Local Data: Clearing app data/cache or uninstalling the App will completely remove all locally stored progress, favorites, and game settings.
Server Data: If you wish to request the deletion of server-side completed puzzle logs or feedback records associated with your anonymous ID, please contact us at our support email below.
7. Third-Party Services
Our App utilizes trusted third-party service providers solely to perform essential app infrastructure functions:
RevenueCat: For handling in-app purchase validation and subscription status management.
Apple App Store / Google Play Billing: For processing payment transactions securely.
These service providers handle data in accordance with their respective privacy policies and are contractually restricted from using your data for any other purpose.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable legal requirements. Any changes will be posted within this document, and the "Effective Date" at the top will be updated accordingly.
