Ready to get this Journey Started!
October 10th, 2016
Up early this morning to be ready for the big day. Breakfast is being served by one of our pier-mates, Suzanne at 5:30a. Captain Bill, who is helping to shepherd the flotilla south tells us that 6:30a is the time to cast off the lines. We'll monitor both channel 16 (standard open channel for all) and channel 6 (for conversation between our boats).
Our compass glows nicely at o'dark thirty :)
Our first leg of the trip will be to Pebble Island marina. Roughly a 10 hour jaunt up the Tennessee River. We should be anchoring out most nights so while we will have cellular signal most of the time, wi-fi will be in short supply. I and the First Mate will post as we can on the blog.
