About Me

Hi! I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working with Prof. Dilek Hakkani-Tur. I am broadly interested in Natural Language Processing, Conversational AI, Dialogue Systems, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Model Interpretability.

I completed my PhD in 2024 from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering,  Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, under the supervision of Dr. Maunendra Sankar Desarkar and Dr. Srijith P.K.  My PhD thesis focuses on developing scalable and interpretable models for dialogue understanding and generation, as well as proposing novel metrics for dialogue evaluation.  I received my Master's degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering,  Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, under the supervision of Dr. Pabitra Mitra in 2016. During my Master's, I worked on time-sensitive recommendations for e-commerce platforms. I completed my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from the Institute of Engineering & Management Kolkata in 2012.
