About Me

Hi! I’m an AI researcher specializing in Natural Language Processing, Machine learning, Conversational AI, and Multimodal AI. I am currently a Research Associate in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Liverpool, where I work on multimodal document translation with Prof. Anh Nguyen. 

Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where I worked with Prof. Dilek Hakkani-Tur and Prof. Gokhan Tur. I completed my PhD in 2024 from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering,  Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, under the supervision of Dr. Maunendra Sankar Desarkar and Dr. Srijith P.K.  My PhD thesis focuses on developing scalable and interpretable models for dialogue understanding and generation, as well as proposing novel metrics for dialogue evaluation.  

I received my Master's degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering,  Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, under the supervision of Dr. Pabitra Mitra in 2016. During my Master's, I worked on time-sensitive recommendations for e-commerce platforms. I completed my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from the Institute of Engineering & Management Kolkata in 2012.
