Investigating the History of Mammalian Diversity

I am a vertebrate paleontologist based at Kyoto University (CICASP) and a research associate of the Field Museum and University of California Museum of Paleontology. My colleagues and I study the evolutionary history of mammals to better understand how their diversity is generated, maintained, or lost.

I am also committed to biology education and management of natural history collections.
