Welcome to the OeNB Jubiläumsfonds project “Behavioral Implications of Financial Advice on Sustainable Investments.” The information should be helpful for researchers, practitioners and policymakers, alike.
Sustainable finance has become a central pillar of modern markets, driven by growing demand and reinforced by regulatory initiatives. Much of this demand stems from retail investors, who typically delegate decisions to intermediaries .
While sustainability information is now an integral part of financial advice, little is known about how it affects money managers’ and clients’ decision-making.
Thus, our project investigates how the inclusion of sustainability characteristics in financial advice shapes their behavior. To do so, we integrate theoretical modeling, controlled experiments, and real‑world data to study behavior around delegation and sustainable investing.
This project is funded by the OeNB Jubiläumsfonds and located at the University of Innsbruck.
