The project “Sustainable cities: past and present” aims that our students, most of them from a disadvantaged background, know the social and educational value of our European cultural heritage and that together we all look for alternatives for a sustainable present.
Begining in 2020 when designing our project, we have planned activities, both formal and informal, which motivate our students and help them not only get involved, but actually become the real protagonists. These are our schools :

The 3o Gymnasio of Amaliada is a Junior high school with a staff of 25 teachers and assistants and 210 students aged 12-15. Our school is located in Amaliada in Western Greece, close to Ancient Olympia.
Each year the school organizes educationals programes with a variety of topics at prefectural level. It has participated in national networks, European programs and Leonardo Da Vinci programs. Moreover, our school has implemented two Erasmus+ KA1 programs in the past and one Erasmus+ KA2. We have also been invoved in many e-twinning projects and for the school year 2017-2018 our school was selected to participate in an action of STEM. Many of our students participate in various competitions and are distinguished.

In recent years the school has experimented with various technological innovations, projects and
self-reflexive practices such as "Backpackless" (an innovative approach to teaching that aims to
making students responsible for their learning through the use of spaces, furniture and materials
It also boasts the presence of classroom 3.0., with the flipped classroom and
immersive reality.With the help of technology the lessons become more interactive and the students can
become co-authors of the lessons, thanks also to the possibility of using the great variety of tools
educational offered by the web. The educational team of our school is active and motivated, which lends a lot
focus on professional development and training, also interested in the eTwinning platform
and have already participated in various projects covering different aspects and subjects. The institute offers a
great variety of afternoon activities for pupils, these are PON and POR projects which concern:
sport, dance with Paralympic association, psychology, theater, singing, radio and press, immersive
reality, languages, and there are additional musical instrument classes.
Furthermore, our institute has participated in the Erasmus plus program since 2016 with various projects as coordinator and European partner.

Our school is located in Alsace, in North East of France, between Colmar and Mulhouse, at the border of Germany.
It has around 400 students from 14 to 20 years old. We have professional sections in agriculture and viticulture and scientific general section.
Our school is well known for its wine and chicken organic productions.

The students aimed to take part in the activities of our project are mostly those in 3rd and 4th year Compulsory Second Education.
