Challenge: International students arrived with zero context for the US healthcare system, leading to medical roadblocks and an overwhelmed counseling staff. The existing instructor-led training was a "data dump" that front-loaded information months before students actually needed to use it.
Hypothesis: If we transition from a one-time lecture to a modular, self-paced reference tool, students can learn the system through logical sequencing and return to the course for on-the-spot support during medical situations.
Solution: A branded, interactive e-learning course that translates complex US healthcare policy into actionable student workflows.

Why this approach? By moving the training online, we transformed a logistical bottleneck into a scalable resource that empowers students to navigate the US medical system independently.

Challenge: The existing safety training for the bikeshare program was a passive, click-and-reveal hotspot experience. This delivery resulted in learners disengaging and failing to recall crucial safety checks when standing in front of an actual bike, leading to preventable equipment and safety incidents.
Hypothesis: To build genuine pre-ride muscle memory, I shifted the cognitive load from the screen to the learner. By forcing active investigation through trial-and-error, rather than passive information digestion, there is an increase in recall and operational safety.
Solution: A high-engagement "reverse hotspot" interaction embedded within Articulate Rise. Unlike standard hotspots where information is fed to the user, this forces the learner to drive their own investigation.

Discovery-Based Learning: The learner knows they must find six critical inspection points but does not know what they are, encouraging active exploration.
Trial-and-Error Feedback: An "X" provides immediate feedback if the user inspects an incorrect component (e.g., the basket), helping them distinguish critical components from non-critical ones.
Reward-Based Information Delivery: Accessing safety details (e.g., tire pressure, brake functionality) is earned through correct identification, reinforcing successful inspection behaviors.
Why a Mighty Plug-in Approach? Standard authoring tools were too restrictive to support this level of cognitive challenge. Utilizing Mighty for a "reverse hotspot" allowed me to engineer a critical thinking exercise directly into the workflow, simulating the physical inspection process far more effectively than basic e-learning templates.
