Suryakant Adate

Suryakant Adate is an active and creative English Teacher and working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Prof. Sambhajirao Kadam College, Deur (Dist. Satara, Maharashtra) since July 2010.

He has completed graduation from the Loknete Hanmantrao Patil College, Vita Shivaji University, Kolhapur in English. He has completed his B.Ed. Degree from Modern Education Society’s B. Ed College, Vita and completed M.A. from English Department, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Currently, he is doing doctoral research in English at Shivaji University, Kolhapur (Maharashtra). His topic for Ph.D. is Understanding India through Travel Literature: A Study with Special Reference to Selected Travelogues.

He is a life member of prominent professional organizations such as English Language Teachers’ Association of India (ELT@I), Shivaji University English Teachers Association (SUETA) and Shivaji University Teacher's Association (SUTA) etc.

He has participated in professional seminars, workshops and conferences and contributed to a number of national and international research journals, conference proceedings and book chapters.
