Survivor Camp was created in 2004 because of an idea from Patti Phillips. Pastors Larry and Beth Watters expanded the idea and with the help of countless volunteers, Survivor Camp was formed. Survivor Camp is based off of CBS Survivor TV show, but we do it Jesus Style. Kids from ages 7-19 are split into tribes. Throughout the week they compete in challenges that produce teamwork and endurance. Kids also enjoy swimming, going down the zipline, movie night, service night, and endless memories with friends who become family. If they are able to endure the entire week, we load up everyone and have an amazing day at Holiday World Amusement Park in Santa Claus, Indiana. We strive to teach everyone that there will be challenges throughout our lives and we must lean on one another. Our lives will have hard times but if we endure the difficulties in life we will be rewarded in Heaven with our savior. Survivor Camp is a week of great fun where kids are able to build lasting friendships that turn into family, all while learning about Jesus and His love for us.
