To use Spatial Manager for AutoCAD, you need to activate it with a valid license. There are two types of licenses available: Standard and Professional. The Standard license allows you to use the basic features of the plug-in, such as importing and exporting spatial data, transforming coordinates, displaying background maps, and managing data tables. The Professional license unlocks all the advanced features of the plug-in, such as creating thematic maps, performing spatial analysis, publishing to Google Earth, creating terrains and contours, and more.
To activate Spatial Manager for AutoCAD, you need to follow these steps:
Download and install Spatial Manager for AutoCAD from the official website. You can choose between a 32-bit or a 64-bit version depending on your AutoCAD version.
Run AutoCAD and load Spatial Manager for AutoCAD by typing SPMANAGER in the command line. A new ribbon tab called Spatial Manager will appear.
Click on the Spatial Manager icon in the ribbon tab and select License Manager from the drop-down menu. A dialog box will open where you can enter your license information.
If you have purchased a license online, you will receive an email with your license code and activation key. Enter them in the corresponding fields and click Activate.
If you have received a license file by email or other means, click Browse and locate the file on your computer. Then click Activate.
If you want to use Spatial Manager for AutoCAD in trial mode for 30 days, click Try. You will be able to use all the features of the Professional license during this period.
After activating your license, you will see a confirmation message and your license details. Click OK to close the dialog box.
You can now use Spatial Manager for AutoCAD with all its features enabled according to your license type.
