It was a stormy night in New York City and a married couple were in a car passing through Riddles

The car broke suddenly came to a screeching stop and wouldn’t start again

The husband had to leave to get help, but was afraid of leaving his wife in the car alone

He checked every inch of the car, checked the boot, wound the windows up and locked the car before leaving

When he returned with help, the car was locked and in the same state that he had left it in

But his wife was dead!

There was blood on the floor, and a stranger was in the car

How did the wife die?
